Just a short little story I came up with after I got over my many squealing fits thinking about the finale… Not really any spoilers if you haven't seen it…
Enjoy :
Jordan yawned and slowly opened her eyes. She looked over at the person she was currently pressed into. She propped herself onto her pillow and ran her hand slowly and softly through his hair. He shifted his position before slowing opening his eyes, smiling up at her.
"Morning, Jo," he sighed out as he rolled from his side to his back.
"Morning, Woody," she replied and nestled down beside him, putting her head in the crook of his neck.
"I was half afraid that you would be gone when I opened my eyes," he said softly, pushing a strand of hair out of her face.
"Me too," Jordan responded, intertwining her fingers with his and kissing his neck.
"I'm glad you stayed, though," he continued.
"Me too," she echoed her earlier words as he pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"Want some breakfast?" he asked, sitting up and throwing his legs over the side of the bed.
"What do you have?" she questioned, mimicking his actions.
"Um… Pizza?" he gave a shy smile as he walked around the bed and slipped his arms around Jordan's waist.
Jordan laughed as she slipped her arms around his neck, "Let's go to the diner across the street."
"Alright, but I need a shower first," he said while heading towards the bathroom.
"Me too," she smiled slyly, grabbing clothes from her bag and following him to the bathroom.
An hour later, they were seated in the diner across the street with empty plates and almost empty coffees. They had talked about odd and end things, then the plane crash that had started this whole thing, and then started talking about their relationship. It had been two month since they started the new relationship and they already made it longer than either of them had really expected. They started out taking it slow with just dinners and dates. Last night was the first night they had actually spent together.
Jordan looked up from her coffee and straight into Woody's eyes, "I meant it you know."
"Meant what?" he asked, slightly confused.
"You know, what I said when we were on the mountain. That…That, I love you," she responded.
"I know you meant it, and I love you, too," he reached across the table and took her hand.
Jordan surprised herself with the fact that she wasn't scared. She didn't want to turn away and she didn't want to run. She was content and happy. And, she really did love him.
