Knowledge is power.

It was the key to winning a battle and keeping yourself alive. Knowledge was true power.

This was something she knew since she was in the academy and something she prided herself on. Her smarts were what had gotten her one of the top spots in her class and her success as a medic. Her brain could finish any puzzle or find a solution to almost any problem presented to her (the ones she couldn't fix involved, for example, Tsunade's obsession with gambling and her constant need for sake).

So when Naruto had asked her to join the old Team 7 for a night at the bar, her knowledgeable mind had screamed and shouted and ranted at her not to go, that something would happen, but her heart said she was. After all, she had been spending too much time at the hospital and tomorrow was her day off. She could drink as much as she wanted and not have to really care about the hangover she would have the next day since there would be no Tsunade yelling in her ear as her mind pounded painfully. And since her mind could not argue with such logic (plus the fact that Naruto was footing the bill), she went.

It was after her shift when she went (which was 9:00). The bar was crowded as usual. It was a small, cozy place on a corner street with dim lights and small booths and friendly faces. It was like home (if you ignored the general population of drunks and cigarette smoke).

Sakura walked to the back, nodding to a grinning Genma with Ino unceremoniously draped across him before sitting at the table with her team, shaking her head at Ino. She would be in for one hell of a wake-up call tomorrow morning.

The hours passed. Naruto blathered nonstop about his missions and Sasuke would nod occasionally. Soon, both men became drunk and began challenging each other to contests before collapsing onto the tabletop. Of course, she and her sensei hadn't fared any better, judging by her inebriated state and his. How the man could look so sober and be so plastered in real life was beyond her. 'It was probably the mask,' she thought.

And so, drunk as two sailors, they left the bar together after telling the owner to make sure someone got their two friends home. The rest was a blur, so when Sakura woke up the next morning, the sunlight searing her eyes and a massive headache pounding inside her skull, imagine her surprise when she found herself naked in bed with her equally naked sensei.

Questions shot through her hung-over mind. What happened last night? Why are we naked? As she inhaled calmly to soothe her frazzled mind long enough to remove her alcohol haze, things started to come back to her.

She had gone to a bar after Naruto invited her for a Team 7 get-together. She had gotten drunk. He had gotten drunk. He took her home. She opened the door and-OH MY GOD!!! She had sex with her ex-sensei!

She began to mentally smash her head into a conveniently placed wall. Out of the nineteen years she spent on earth, this had to be the stupidest thing she has ever done.

As her mind reeled, wondering how she would ever look him in the eye or even touch the items they had sex on long enough to dispose of them, calloused fingers trailed up her bare thigh. Turning her head, she looked down to see him and felt her breath escape her.

Haruno Sakura had always believed knowledge was power. It was something she lived by as a medic and kunoichi. It had saved her and her patients countless times, but as she looked at her ex-sensei, a seductive smile on his face as he pulled her under him and began lavishing kisses on her skin, she had to wonder.

If knowledge was power, why did she feel so weak in the knees?
