Hiyono was staring put the window of Ayumu's living room. And boy was she hungry!
'Narumi-san!!! Is dinner ready yet? I'm starving!'
Narumi Ayumu gave her an annoyed look before returning to his work. This was the third time this week she asked him to cook for her. Not that he didn't enjoy making and seeing her happy, or hearing her voice thanking him or cooking for someone else than Madoka for a change, but he wished she had more patience.
'Be patient!'
'Patient??? I've beet patient long enough! I'm tired of waiting. Have you no pity for my poor stomach?
But Ayumu answered only with a groan and continued with the food.
After several minutes, Ayumu finished dinner and laid it on the table.
'Here, are you happy now?'
'Hai, hai, Narumi-san'
Both of them took a seat in front of the table and started eating, Hiyono with the speed of light, of course.
'Yo! You'd better slow down! Eating this fast is unhealthy.
'C'mon, Narumi-san! I'm just hungry. That's all. Except the hunger, I'm perfectly fine. Hiccup! Hiccup!'
'See what I mean? Now you started to hiccup. '
Hiyono gave him an "I don't give a damn" look and continued eating her food, between the repeated hiccups.
After she finished the heavenly meal, she still could stop with the hiccups.
' Look, this is very annoying. Stop it already!'
'But I don't know how, Narumi-san'
'Here, drink some water. I think it helps.' he said, giving her a glass filled with a transparent liquid.
She obeyed, drinking it in one gulp.
'How do you feel?'
'Well, I think…hiccup…it didn't help!'
'Then try holding your breath!'
This was more like a command than a suggestion, so she listened to him again and took a deep breath before keeping it in her. A minute passed and, though Hiyono was getting blue, at least she didn't hiccup anymore.
'Yo! Stupid girl! Breathe!'
'Arigato, Narumi-san! I think it stopped…hiccup…not.'
'Why won't it stop already?'
'Maybe you have to scare my hiccup away.'
"Scare her? How should I scare her? Hmm…"
'BOO!!!!' he screamed, hoping to make her hiccups go away, but he only succeeded in making her laugh.
'Was that supposed to scare me? Hiccup!'
'Then how about this?' he said, turning the television on and changing channels until he found "Freddy vs Jason". But the movie made Hiyono yawn.
'Is that -hiccup-blood? 'Cause it -hiccup- doesn't look like it!'
'Argh! Nothing scares you, does it?' Then, Ayumu came up with a brilliant idea. He started getting closer to the girl, with an unusual, devilish look on his face.
'Narumi-san! Why are you staring-hiccup-at me like that-hiccup-?'
But he didn't say anything. He just kept getting closer and closer until his face was just inches away from hers. He took her by the waist, making her blush like hell.
'Now, now! Your hiccups are so stubborn. How could we make them go away?'
But Hiyono was so shocked that she could barely lift her shoulders in response.
'Well, Hiyono, I think I have a solution to your hiccup problem. Do you want to know what it is? He asked, smirking at her.
She nodded her head, her heart beating like crazy. It didn't take long before she felt Ayumu capturing her lips with his own.
When the boy broke the kiss, he was blushing madly.
'I…I…I think my hiccups are gone. Arigato!'
'You're welcome, Hiyono!-hiccup-oh no!-hiccup-now I've got it too!'
'What should we do?'
'Well…hiccup…there is one way…'
'And what is that?'
Ayumu kissed her again, more passionate this time, because he had to "cure" himself. Deep down, Hiyono knew that his hiccups were fake.
