Tales of Symphonia: The journey of regeneration
Chapter 1
Naruto was laid out on the grass at his old training grounds. He had just returned from another failed mission to get Sasuke back. To say the least, Sakura did not like the results and blamed the failure on Naruto.
Flashback
"How could you Naruto? You caused the mission to fail!"
"Sakura? I-I wasn't the only guy on this miss-"
"Yeah but, you are still a downright loser and no one else would have been so selfish!"
"What do you mean by selfish? I was trying to bring Sasuke home."
"No you weren't! Everyone knows that you were always jealous of Sasuke-kun and that you would not care for his return!"
Naruto let out a sigh as he sat up. Everything was always his fault. Every time something went wrong in the village, he was blamed. He was tired of it. He was contemplating this for a long time. He read of a great jutsu that only a truly powerful being could perform. And he, being possessed by such a being, could perform such a jutsu. He stood up.
"I have no real need to be here. I just mess things up." He entered his mindscape and found himself in front of a familiar cage. "Hey Fox. We're leaving. I need a load of Chakra to pull this off."
Inside the cage a massive creature was stirring. He let out a snicker. "So kit. You finally decided to give up your dream. What brought this on? Was it your most recent failure, or your so called friends accusation? I mean it wasn't your fault that the ANBU were supposed to kill you and Sasuke."
"That doesn't matter anymore. But where ever we go, it will not be on this world. Now give the Chakra." Outside of his mind, his body as glowing an amazing red chakra. He began to flash through a series of hand seals and then yelled, "Gate Release: Otherworldly Vortex."
All of a sudden a huge wave of force began to emit from where he stood. Something began to form. A huge ball of energy was swirling and getting bigger with second that it remained. Naruto was watching it until he heard a small squeal behind him. He turned and saw a girl about his age staring with a slight tinge of pink on her cheeks. She had blue hair and eyes like pearls.
She tried turn and run but Naruto caught her by the arm. "What's the hurry Hinata?" He caught her fearing gaze. "What? Is my gate scaring you? Well, lucky for you that when I go through it, it shall disappear taking me, The villages failed weapon, with it." He had on a half hearted smile that just said, 'it's better this way.'
"Why? Why do you feel the need to leave Naruto?' For the first time in her life she finally looked Naruto straight in eyes. Normally, they were able to hide his pain but now they showed every bit of his sorrow. It was quite obvious that for the first time in his life, he had given up.
"Good bye Hinata. I won't ever see you again, but I'm at least glad that someone came to see me off." She was on the verge of tears. "Or… you could come with me. It's quite obvious that we are not wanted here. I'm not wanted because of my burden. You're not wanted because you are thought to be weak. Well I'm tired of feeling alone all the time." He turned to the gate he had created. "Make your choice now. I don't you to regret it either."
Hinata Stared for a second at the boy she had loved since childhood and said, "Let's go then. This is our only chance to be free."
"I'm glad you're coming. It might a little boring without at least one familiar face." He then yelled, "GOODBYE KONOHA!" and stepped into the gate with Hinata.
So What do you think? They will arrive on sylvarant in the next chapter as the game begins. Uuh, R&R.
