Fair Exchange
aka Why Kurogane Finally Killed Fai
It had to happen sometime.
What with all the worlds they were travelling through, they had to find one like this; a world where they hadn't heard of other worlds, didn't accept foreign currency, and the local Dressmakers' Guild had forbidden Fai to sell clothes.
'Oh, come on, Kuro-woot, it's not that bad,' Fai cooed.
Kurogane, dressed in an apron and cap, looked murderous, and he swept the pathway to Yuuko's house with entirely too much fervour, ripping leaves into shreds. Some of the leaves moved discreetly out of his way.
'It's only for a month, Yuuko said. And Watanuki needs a holiday.'
Looking at the storm clouds forming visibly around Kurogane's head, Fai was suddenly grateful they were talking through Mokona.
'And so you trade me off to this drunken sadistic infuriating freaky perverted hag?'
'I object,' Yuuko said off-camera. 'I am not a hag. And you've just added another week to your time for being rude to your employer, Kuro-koo.'
Even Mokona winced at the next bellow. 'STOP CALLING ME THAT YOU'RE AS BAD AS THE IDIOT MAGE!'
'Now, be a good daddy and get me some more sake,' Yuuko chirped, settling herself back in her chair and displaying a startling amount of cleavage in the process.
It was at times like these that Fai truly wished he hadn't abandoned his magic; it would take all his powers to defend himself once they did get Kurogane back.
