Yeah, so I'm definitely not an avid InuYasha fan show wise, but I love reading fan fictions. :P I figured that I might as well post my own! Maybe I'll finish it for once. For legal purposes: I do not own InuYasha, or any characters within said anime. Thank you, that is all.
The first chapter's short, sorry.
A cold breeze swept deftly across a field desolate of all but a young, brown eyed girl. Her countenance was sober as her mind shifted to a topic of daily musing; InuYasha. Was she ever going to win his affection? She sighed, her shoulders slumping under an unseen weight. The white haired hanyou was beyond her. He was so stubborn, but she knew he cared…at least, she though she knew. How could he not, she thought sullenly.
The cold winter chill wove towards her, its claws extended and poised. It's getting late, she concluded, turning her eyes to the drab heavens. The first flakes of glistening, white snow fluttered down precariously; scouts for the oncoming flurry. They were few and awkward in the dense darkness and Kagome couldn't help but admire them for their bravery.
A sudden sense of trepidation filtered through her petite body, sending an icy chill crawling up her spine. Someone was there.
Youkai. Slowly, she turned around; the frigid zephyr sending her ebony locks into a frantic disarray. Looking into the oncoming gale she locked eyes with…nothing. There was not a soul about. The muted colors of winter met her perplexed gaze. That was odd; she could have sworn that she felt someone. She smiled suddenly. Probably just InuYasha checking on me, she giggled in the solitude of her mind.
Bundling her red jacket closer to her person, she made her way down the slight knoll to the edge of the barren forest; its precious leaves snapping heavily under her slight weight. There it was again! She thought, pivoting.
"InuYasha?" she shouted, suddenly unsure of whether it was truly her dog-eared friend that was staring at her back.
"Yeah, what do ya want?" he barked, strolling tersely through the dead foliage behind her.
"Oh," she blushed "sorry, I just didn't know if it was you or not."
"If what was me?" he snapped, arms folded before his chest.
"Never mind." She murmured; her cheeks flushed.
"Feh. You humans get cold way too easily." He muttered, crossing the distance between them. "Come on, Kaede's waiting and Shippou's whining."
The brown eyed girl glanced over her shoulder one last time as the silver haired boy led her towards the near-by village. Stopping, she could have sworn she saw a whisp of white fabric in the neighboring treeline.
Huzzah! Chapter one. Maybe it's Sesshy, maybe it's...someone else. o.0 Sorry if the characters are a little OOC, I haven't seen the show in...a while. :p
