The rain...the rain...the rain...it will never stop raining...

Every single day...it continues to rain...over and over again...

Like a spinning wheel...it is an endless cycle...

Will we...will we...will we ever be free from this rain?

This rain...it tastes like death...

It tastes...like the lips of an angel...

It...it just won't stop...

The rain...my tears...they just won't stop falling...

Konan glanced over at her leader and sighed. He was still standing out on that ledge, rain pouring down on his body. Although Pein was known for standing out in a downpour for hours without movement, he had never done it for 20 hours straight. That's why Konan was worried.

"...Pein, maybe you should come inside..." Konan pleaded to her multi-bodied superior for the fifth time that day. Pein ignored her cries, just as he did every time before this. 'What's wrong with him...is he upset about something...?' Konan wondered as she looked away, unable to watch him any longer.

Turning around, Konan started to walk away and leave Pein to brood alone. Suddenly, a small voice reached her ears. "Konan...Yahiko was right...the rain is like tears overflowing this land..." Looking over at Pein, Konan realized that he was now staring at her. For a few moments, they just stood there, looking deeply into each other's eyes.

"Konan..." Pein whispered. Within a second, he had warped directly in front of her. Konan shivered slightly as his warm, steamy breath pressed against her skin. Slowly, Pein wrapped one of his arms around Konan's waist. Smiling up at him, Konan asked, "So...are you feeling better now...my master?"

Pein smirked and kissed Konan lightly on the lips. "If you want to know..." he replied, "the reason I had stood out in the rain so long...was because today was the day we first met each other...on that bloody battlefield..." Konan blushed and nervously looked down at the floor, trying to avoid Pein's seductive gaze.

"Well, tell me before you doing things like that, you idiot!" Konan exclaimed, her eyes still avoiding Pein's. Without hesitation, Pein gently grabbed Konan by the chin and lifted up her head so he could stare into her eyes once more. Leaning in, he kissed her again, more powerfully this time. When they seperated, all had been said.
