"You didn't!" Mulder groaned, holding up an empty pizza box. He scowled and looked between Scully and Assistant Director Skinner accusingly.

Guilty faces stared back at him.

Silence.

"You did," he said, quietly. "You went out and got pizza – my favourite pizza – and you didn't wake me."

Still, his co-workers said nothing.

"You couldn't have woken me up?" he tried.

Nothing.

"Scully?"

Nothing.

"Skinner?"

There was a loud crash from behind him and he jerked awkwardly in his seat.

When he looked back to where his friends' had been mere seconds ago, there was nothing there.

"Mulder?" Scully's amused voice came from behind him. "You okay?"

He blinked in confusion and slowly turned to face her. "I…what?"

"Are you okay?" Scully repeated. "You must've drifted off or something…"

Mulder nodded. "Yeah, I must've," he agreed.

He searched the room with his eyes in an attempt to clear his mind.

Skinner was over in the corner, reading one of the newspaper clips pinned to the wall.

Everything else seemed in place, except for…

Pizza boxes.

Empty pizza boxes.

He slowly turned back to pierce Scully with accusing eyes. "You didn't!"
