I Never Wanted You to Do the Right Thing

Summary: During Dead Man's Chest, Jack almost kissed Lizzy and when he didn't, she said, "I'm proud of you Jack." But what was she really thinking?

Elizabeth and Jack stared deeply into each other's eyes.

Lizzy was sure he was going to close the gap between them and kiss her but hid her surprise when he pulled away instead. "I'm proud of you Jack." Despite her feelings for Will, she couldn't help but feel saddened by the fact that for once, Jack had decided to hold back. I'm disappointed in you Jack.

Jack never saw her slight pout as he worried about the black spot on his hand. He never saw the disappointment and longing in her eyes but maybe someday in the future he would realize something; that she never wanted him to do the right thing because she loved him just the way he was.

This is the shortest fic I've ever written but I hope I at least did a good enough job to get some reviews. Don't flame so much though since this is my first Pirates of the Caribbean fan fiction.
