Hey everyone! Okay, so this was just something that popped into my mind at school…I was stuck there for like, five hours, so I had plenty of time to think of something new...due to the fact that I left my other two stories at home, lol. My bad. It's my first oneshot and it probably sucks, but oh well, lol. Enjoy!... LILEY btw. If you don't like… then don't read, very simple :-)

You, Me, and a Christmas Tree

Miley finished getting out the Christmas ornaments for the little Christmas tree she got for her room. It was about two feet tall and well…fake. But, she didn't care one bit. It was perfect. She and Lilly were going to decorate it tonight and then watch a few Christmas movies. Neither of them had school this week, due to Christmas vacation, so they were both rather excited about this.

"Okay," Miley said to herself. "The tree's ready, the ornaments are out, and Lilly should be here soon," she smiled. 'If only I could tell her how I feel…' There was a sudden knock at her door, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Uh…come in!"

Lilly cheerfully walked in, "Hi, hi," she said happily. 'Wow…look at her…' Lilly thought as her smile grew.

"Ready to decorate?" Miley smiled as she pointed at her mini-tree.

"For sure," she walked over towards Miley. 'Man…I can't take it anymore…I have to tell her…tonight…'

Miley looked at her, "You okay?" 'She's so cute…I have to tell her how I feel…'

"Oh, uh, yea. Sorry, sometimes I just zone out."

Miley laughed a little, "No need to apologize."

In no time at all they dug into the box of little ornaments Miley had set aside for this tree. Miley also put in a Christmas CD to avoid any awkward silence that might occur. It sure did seem to help. They were having a great time as they spent the next several minutes putting ornaments on the tree. Eventually, Lilly reached into the box and pulled out an ornament her and Miley made together the year that they met. "Oh my gosh…" She looked up at Miley, "You still have this?"

Miley looked at it. It was a homemade ornament with a cut out picture of her and Lilly from when they were in sixth grade. "Well, of course I do." She stood closer to Lilly to get a better look at it. "It's…It's my favorite ornament," she admitted.

Lilly felt tears prick her eyes; she used all her strength to keep them from falling. "I just can't believe you kept it all these years. We're juniors in high school now…"

Miley smiled, "I keep everything that has something to do with you," she blushed at the confession she just told Lilly.

Lilly looked at her and grinned, "R-Really?"

"Yea…really." Miley took a deep breath as she reached for the last item in her small Christmas box. She quickly held it above her best friend, "Look up."

Lilly looked above her and soon had a confused look on her face, "Is that a…"

"Mistletoe?" Miley finished her sentence for her, smiling.

Lilly could've sworn her heart stopped, "Wh-…you…I…" she blushed as she felt a smile spread across her face.

Miley grinned, and then leaned in to kiss the love of her life for the first time. She dropped the mistletoe as Lilly pulled her closer to her; deepening the kiss. After several minutes, they broke the kiss due to lack of air. Both girls were grinning from ear to ear.

"Wow…" Lilly breathed out.

Miley looked deep into her eyes, "I…I love you, Lilly…"

Those words were music to her ears. She smiled, "I love you too, Miley…" she leaned in to kiss her again. "Merry Christmas…"

"Merry Christmas, Lilly," she held her tightly as she kissed her once again.
