Hello everyone. So this is really short, and I know it's bad. I wrote this when the season finale aired for book 2, and Zuko betrayed his uncle. It was about him and how they were tricking Azula, but I cut it down to be just Zuko thinking about Katara and his Choices. :P
Zuko was very confused.
He was supposed to be deciding his and his uncle's fate, and possibly the fait of the entire world.
Azula had a surefire, flawless plan to take over Ba Sing Se. Anybody who aided her would get awards for their bravery, cheers for their hostility, and would be looked upon as the winners of the war for the rest of their lives.
Zuko wasn't sure he wanted any part of it.
In the past, all he had wanted was to capture the Avatar, and return home. But now, after the internal fight his soul had had, he wondered why.
Why did he want to go back to his father who burned and disowned him?
Why did he want to go back to Azula making fun of him and teasing him all the time?
Why did he want to be near the people who drove his mother away?
Zuko's inner feelings where battling each other out on the inside. His uncle was trying to explain why he shouldn't go back.
But why shouldn't he? It was all he had wanted for so long.
"Azula can't offer you anything. Remember last time? She'll probably just…" Iroh was ranting wildly.
"I won't do it."
"And another thing— wait, what?" Iroh stuttered
"Not again. Not when I finally have something else to live for." Zuko only had one thing on his mind. Katara
Sure, Jin had kissed him, and he had liked it, but Katara had touched his scar. No one had done that since… well never.
It was personal, this everyday reminder of who he was and what he had done. Katara touching his scar… it was like she had touched his soul. And in that moment, all that had seemed lost had suddenly reappeared out of nowhere.
For the first time, since he had been banished, Zuko felt whole again.
So thoughts? Also you might know the story I wrote, Saved By The Enemy? I want to right a sequal, but I'm not sure which way I want it to go just yet. So if you have any ideas as to were they end up after there talk, SEND EM' IN! Gratzi!
