Following the events of the traumatic Las Plagas ordeal, Ashley Graham decided that she wanted to be prepared in case anyone ever decided to kidnap her again. "This," as she'd told her father, "could happen at any second. I am the president's daughter, Dad."
The President agreed and Ashley was allowed to get special training in order to defend herself. When asked who she wanted to teach her, Ashley already had the perfect teacher in mind.
"Duck, Ashley," Leon yelled as he spun, ready to kick his ex charge in the face. Ashley was already behind him, karate chopping him on the neck. Leon fell to his knees and then quickly flattened his body against the ground, avoiding the kick Ashley had aimed at him. He spun in a circle, grabbing her grounded ankle and pulling. Ashley fell to the ground, panting.
"You're getting good," Leon breathed. "If you get any better, you won't even need to use all the weapons I taught you to fire."
Ashley made a face as she thought about Las Plagas, or just some nasty kidnapper. "Yeah, right. There are some people I just do not want to touch. Hand to hand combat is out."
Leon pulled himself up onto his elbows, looking down at Ashley. "Sometimes you don't have a choice."
"I won't touch someone if I don't want to touch them," Ashley replied, smirking. Leon rolled his eyes and attempted to tackle her from his position low to the ground, but she was already rolling away.
"I'm glad that you aren't going around touching everyone." Leon decided to continue the banter as he thought of an idea.
"I'm glad that you're glad. My offer still stands you know." Ashley pushed up off the ground with her hands, flipping onto her feet. Leon watched all of this, looking at Ashley's figure. He cleared his throat.
"I know."
"Good," Ashley grunted, spinning so that she could kick Leon, who had just rolled over to her and flipped to his feet, in the face. But, as Leon already knew, she wasn't heavy enough to gain the right amount of momentum. Leon caught her foot as it sped toward his face and then tackled her to the floor, pinning her beneath him.
"In all seriousness, you are getting better. But you need to stay more focused. Don't concentrate on the banter so mu- Oof!" The "oof" was because Ashley had just rolled both of them over so that he was on the bottom and she was on top.
Ashley grinned, hair clinging to her sweat soaked face. "Better?"
Leon smiled up at her, brushing the hair off of her face and pushing it behind her ear. "Perfect."
