Disclaimer: I do not own Severus Snape
A/N: The idea comes from a reader named Alex the Anachronostic.
Summary: The idea is to have someone send a troop of Girl Scouts to Spinner's End (Spinner's End is not a real town, but if it was it would be likely be near the Manchester area in the north of England.) to convince Snape to buy Girl Scouts cookies.
The whole thing started when Martha West was paying a visit to Dumbledore at Hogwarts during the summer after the end of the pranks on Snape.
Martha was telling Dumbledore about the Girl Scouts and the wonderful cookies that they sell. She told him that her favorite cookie that they sell is Thin Mints. (Thin Mints are round mint flavored cookies covered with dark chocolate) Dumbledore asked if she could get some of these cookies for him, and he would pay for them of course. Martha said that she would arrange with the Girl Scouts to get him some cookies.
Martha thought to herself, I wonder if I could send Girl Scouts to Severus Snape to where he lives, so they could try to sell cookies to Snape. I must figure out a way to make sure the wards were down at his place. Or the Girl Scouts would not be able to get to the house where Snape lived.
Martha went to the town of Spinner's End to the house where Snape went sometimes during the summer vacation. The house was small, and was in need of repairs. She thought it looked this way to stop muggles to come near the place. It took her two hours to figure out the wards that Snape had put around the property. There were muggle repelling charms, and anti apparition charms, and other wards to stop people from coming too close or getting into the property where the house was. Snape did like to be bothered when he was there.
The next day Martha arranged with the Girl Scouts to go, and visit Snape, and try to get him to buy some of their cookies. Martha went ahead of the Girl Scouts to get the wards down at the house.
Snape heard a knock on his door early that afternoon. He wondered who could be knocking at his door, and that meant the wards were down at his home. He went to the door, and opened it. What he saw was a group of girls dressed in a strange outfit; and he did not know who they were. Snape asked them who they were, and why they were at his door. They told him who they were, and why they were at his door. They were sent here by one of their customers.
Snape told them he did not any cookies at this time. One of the Girl Scouts named Mary Jean told him the cookies are very delicious, and they were not going to leave until he bought at least one box.
Snape realized he could not use any magic to get rid of them, so he decided to buy one box of cookies to get rid of them. He asked them what type they sold. They told him all the kinds that they sold. (Too many to list) they also told, him about their most popular one "Thin Mints."
He said he would buy a box of Thin Mints. Snape kept some muggle money in the house if he needed it. Snape paid for the cookies and after that the girls left.
Snape was very curious about the cookies, so he decided to try just one cookie. One cookie became all, till they were all gone. He really likes these cookies, and he had to get more of them. That is how Severus Snape became addicted to Thin Mints. He found out where he could get more of these cookies, Now he is one of regular customers.
The end
