Fuji had always believed that talking to plants would make them closer to you.

Due to that reasoning, Fuji had always applied that idea to people as well. The people he wanted to become closer to, he would open up to, and talked to them honestly. It was what he did with his cacti collection.

Which was why, while he knew that he did not have to talk to Tezuka all the time to get to know the boy more, he made it a goal to at least talk to the person he loved most at least once a day.

Both Atobe and Oshitari were people who did not flaunt about their relationship. Given, it was hard to believe since Atobe enjoyed flaunting about his wealth everywhere he went.

Neither of them liked showing the public their feelings for each other— their feelings were only meant for one another. The two were also people who did not enjoy it when people probed, and if the public were to find out about their relationship, it would turn into a scandal. They both understood.

It was enough for both of them as long as they were aware of how the other felt.

"Was there ever anything that you never really cared about, but ended up treasuring after meeting someone?"

When asked what his favorite season is, Fuji would always smile and answer with spring. When asked why, the tensai would sport a knowing smile before shooting a sly look at Tezuka while tilting his head to the side, returning the question with one of his own, "Why not?"

If one were to ask Tezuka what his favorite season is (with enough probing, seeing as Tezuka was one who kept personal likes and dislikes such as these to himself), the serious boy would answer with winter. And if one were to ask for the reason, Tezuka would spare an unwavering glance at Fuji before burying his nose in whatever book he was previously occupied with, ignoring the questionnaire.

The answer to the second question of both though, was uncomplicated, yet profound. It was simple enough to say that both knew that neither of them could have experienced the warmth and beauty of spring together without breaking the ice both of them had isolated themselves with first.

After all, when the cold snow in winter melted completely, it would always slowly turn into spring.

xD Because I'm lazy, these drabbles have not been beta'ed, so I apologize for any glaring mistakes that I am prone to making. Off to work on Jewel's Sweet Pair drabbles. xD Simple because I don't feel like writing chapters.

Review, please?
