Tetra winced as a loud, long crunching noise from the side of her ship. "Link…" She did trust him, well had. There was no way she was ever giving in and letting him steer again. Turing to glare silently over her shoulder at him, Tetra saw his look of surprise turn to terror. He gave a glance in her direction, and with an audible gulp, sunk low behind the wheel. Pursing her lips Tetra closed her eyes and took a deep breath. They weren't out of commission, and were in need of repairs anyways. Still, he had just rammed her ship in an island and that was very annoying.

Tetra heaved a sigh and climbed up to where Link sat slumped in embarrassment at his own sailing. Her small amount of anger flitted out in a second. A grown man hiding in embarrassment simply seemed to break her heart. Letting out a huff of air Tetra plopped down next to the hero. The air felt thick with tension, and a single look at Link's face was enough to show her he was more than aware of exactly what he'd done.

Speaking kindly wasn't one of her fortes. That was simply the truth, she could speak in almost any other tone, but pure uplifting, you-can-do-it chats weren't in her usual line up. Fishing around for the right thing to say Tetra glanced up at the sky, dusk was being filtered out by night. This was just the perfect time for watching the sea she thought. You could see both in the day and at night within a short period of time. Her musings were interrupted by a pathetic groan from her right.

Feeling awkward and silly now, Tetra blurted out the first thing she could think to say to him. "I'm sorry." She laughed as Link's head shot up fast enough to give anyone whiplash. "You're going to hurt yourself doing that someday, you know that right?"

"Wait…what are you sorry for? I'm the one who just rammed your ship into a giant unmoving mass!" Link's eyes were wider that Tetra thought she'd ever seen them before.

With a shrug Tetra looked straight ahead again, she always felt the need to apologize to Link. The reason why eluded her completely, but she almost always felt like she needed to say sorry…or to curse him, pending the situation. Tetra sighed and wondered herself, why was she sorry? "For…for making you try to dock, first time behind the wheel. Anyone could have guessed that you'd scrap somewhere. I should have said something so you'd…know…?" Well she'd started strong.

Link couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "You're not making any sense you know that right?"

Tetra rolled her eyes at him. "What are you Link? A parrot?"

"No, I just wanted to make sure. So…" Link shifted his weight around, "why are you sorry?"

"Because…" Tetra scratched her chin thoughtfully, "I suppose because I've been dragging you along for a couple of years, not really getting anything done. And you keep having to save me from all sorts of random beasties. And I'm harder on you than the rest of the crew, and I'm more critical of you henceforth. And, well, and about a thousand other things." She glanced over at his lopsided smile. "I'm rambling…aren't I?"

Link nodded and threw an arm over her shoulder. " You didn't drag me anywhere, I came of my own free will. It could have been anyone that got caught by Bellum, he was searching for you, not the other way around. I don't mind you being harder or more critical on me than the rest of your crew, because I get the feeling you only do that with people you really like. And I like knowing that you like me."

They leaned their heads together and kept looking out at the sea. Link looked down at Tetra's head and cautiously asked, "So…do I still need to pay for the repairs."

With a roll of her eyes Tetra replied, "Yup."

"Damn."
