One day on the pirate ship Thousand Sunny a certain swordsman had it really hard to sleep since a captain were calling his name over and over again.

"Zoro? Are you awake?"

Silence.

Poke.

"Zoro?"

Poke.

Twitch.

Punch.

"What the hell do you want Luffy?!"

Luffy screamed and jumped behind a barrel.

"Don't kill me!"

Zoro looked annoyed but forced himself to stay calm.

"Oi! Luffy what do you want?"

Luffy blinked.

"Oh yes, I had a question for you!"

Now it was Zoro's turn to blink.

"Huh?"

"I said," Luffy talked like he was trying to teach a five year old what 1+1 were. "I have a question for you."

"Then ask me so I can sleep." Zoro yawned.

"Why does a rose represent love when a rose always dies?"

Zoro blinked. ...What the hell...?

"erm...why do you ask?"

Luffy looked at Zoro.

"I borrowed a book from Robin and a guy in it always bought roses to the one he love. So I was wondering why a rose represent love when a rose always die."

Zoro looked stunned. ...Robin read romantic books? wait...Luffy read books? ...the hell? He snapped out of his thoughts when Luffy called his name.

"Well Zoro? Why?"

"Why don't you ask some of the others?" Luffy looked at the ground.

"Because I thought that it would sound stupid to ask them about it, so I went to you."

And it wouldn't sound stupid if he asked me? Zoro felt like his pride were ripped to pieces but even though he was the crews "Bad ass" he didn't have the heart to send Luffy away.

"I see..." Zoro thought about the question and what he would answer while Luffy looked at him with shining eyes.

"I think that...well...roses represent love because they're beautiful and...erm...let's look at it this way. People buy roses to the ones they love because when the rose dies they can feel the joy by buying their love a new one." Zoro were proud over his answer. Luffy gaped in awe at Zoro.

"Really?" Zoro nodded.

"Really."

Luffy thanked Zoro and ran away to steal meat from Sanji. Zoro looked after him before closing his eyes and began to snore.

Night.

Zoro walked in to his room after he had trained for a couple of hours.

Ahh, that felt good! He thought while stretching his arms. Then he noticed something on his pillow.

"What the...?" He reached down and picked up a single rose and looked at it. Then he remembered his talk earlier that day and smiled.

"I'm looking forward to the next one." Zoro putted the rose on a table before he laid down on his bed and fell asleep, still with that smile on his face.
