This is my first fanfic. Just a little one-shot with which I came up when I was watching Pride and Prejudice, wishing I had an Edward/Darcy to watch it with me.
Okay, so the setting is about 10 years after the wedding. Bella is a vampire, the Cullens have moved to Alaska, and Rosalie and Emmett stole Bella's copy of Wuthering Heights and Edward's Linkin Park cd. Edward and Bella decided to bide their time, and to spend a quiet evening at home.
Author's note: I do not own Twilight or any of its characters, nor do I own Pride and Prejudice, Star Wars, or Pirates of the Caribbean. I am just getting rid of my writer's block. If I get any of the movie dialogue wrong, I am very sorry, but I have not seen these three movies in a while.
Movie night with Edward and Bella
Edward and I were watching Pride and Prejudice for the millionth time, and repeating the lines back to each other:
"And how are you, tonight, my dear?"
"Very well, only do not call me 'my dear,' that is what my father calls my mother when he is cross with her."
"Then, what names am I allowed?" I pretended to think for a moment.
"'Bella,' for every day, 'my Pearl' on Sundays, 'Goddess Devine' on special occasions,"
"And what am I to call you when I am cross? 'Mrs. Cullen?'"
"No. No, you may only call me 'Mrs. Cullen' when you are incandescently happy." He looked deeply into my eyes: "And how are you this evening, Mrs. Cullen?" He kissed my cheek, "Mrs. Cullen," he kissed the tip of my nose. "Mrs.--" "are you two watching this movie again?" Alice asked, pausing the movie and interrupting a Perfect Moment. "We were," Edward said, exasperated. "It gets so annoying!" Alice complained, "I have it memorized now."
"At least we're not as bad as you and Jasper," I pointed out.
"What are you talking about? We never watch Pride and Prejudice," Alice asked indignantly.
"Three words: Empire Strikes Back," I replied.
"We are not that bad!" Alice said defensively.
"Uh-huh, sure, "I like nice men," "I'm nice," cue violins." I said triumphantly, as Alice searched for a comeback.
"What about Rosalie and Emmett and Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl?" She scrambled.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"They can't get past the line "no, he's a pirate.""
"Wow, do we have dirt on them… our stuff will be ransomed sooner than I thought." I said, an evil grin spreading across my face. Edward and Alice laughed; "You're cute when you're plotting." Edward said, kissing me on the nose. I giggled, and then kissed him on the lips.
"Ugh, I think I prefer the movie quoting," Alice said jokingly, unpausing the movie and running out of the room.
So, what do you think? Good? Bad? Lock her up real tight, throw away the key, and then turn off all the lights? (Sorry, I love Nightmare before Christmas. Pretty much anything by Tim Burton, actually.)
