Thursday: Rain and Sushi
A small, wistful sigh escaped Sakura's slightly parted lips as she looked at the wet, green world outside the window. It was raining. Her shin rested in her hand, propped up by her elbow. She sighed again, her warm breath fogging up the cold glass surface.
"What's up, yeah?" a voice murmured into her ear. A pair of strong arms snaked their way around her petite waist. She and Deidara were the only ones at the Akatsuki base.
"Just thinking," Sakura replied absently.
"About?" Deidara nuzzled against her neck from behind, swaying smoothly from side to side.
"How incredibly romantic it would be to have a kiss in the rain."
Deidara raised an eyebrow, though Sakura couldn't see it. "Is that so?"
"Mmhmm… but since that sort of thing only happens in fairytales and romance novels, I'd probably have to make myself content with just sushi," she paused. "But I don't have sushi either."
He pulled away from her, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
"What?" Sakura asked warily.
"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all, yeah," and he walked away, the smile still on his face.
"Sakura," a voice cooed softly in her ear. "Saaakura."
"Nrgh…" she groaned in response, glancing at the clock. It was 3:42 in the morning.
"Sakura, I have something for you." What Deidara received was another groan. He grinned. She was listening. "But you need to go outside to get it."
He waited patiently while Sakura put on a coat. Then he blindfolded her. "Deidara? What are you doing?"
"You'll see." He led her outside. She was immediately wide-awake when she felt the cold raindrops hit her skin. Deidara came up behind her, leaned down, and kissed her. Something gently pushed her lips apart and she opened her mouth obediently. A large, wet mass rolled into her mouth and Deidara broke the kiss. Tentatively, Sakura began to chew. It was sushi. It was a bit soggy from being in his mouth, but it was still extremely good.
"Well," Sakura said, pulling off her blindfold. There was only the slightest hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Sushi and a kiss. Aren't you just a regular Prince Charming." And she stood up on her tip-toes, wrapped her arms loosely around his neck, and kissed him. And the whole thing was incredibly romantic.
I wanted to make a fluffy deisaku to opposite my Rain oneshot. This is Thursday in the Akatsuki Week oneshot series. It doesn't really take place along the same timeline. This one is mainly deisaku while the other ones were more akatsaku. The week shall extend all the way to Sunday. I've already got ideas for the next few days. Review please!
