Raggi- Wah! Summer and laptop keys make me need to write. Yeah, I'm on my dad's laptop, so that's why this is a one-shot. I'm bored, so this may not be as good as it could be. I might edit it some other day, but probably not. Any who, here goes nothing…. Literally.
Wind fluttered through Nana's golden brown hair and she let out a soft sigh. She had been traveling with Cooro, Senri, and Husky for a while now, and she had opinions about all three of them.
Husky was too mean and violent. He needed to lighten up, a lot. Nana laughed a bit to herself. Senri was nice, quiet, and strong. But he transformed a bit too eagerly. That could be dangerous one day. Like that time on Moss Mountain.
Nana shivered at the memory. And then there was Cooro. His glossy black wings, sparkling, dark eyes, messy yet under control hair the color of obsidian. Nana sighed happily. She liked Cooro. Like liked Cooro. He was so sweet! Even as oblivious and gluttonous as he was, his good qualities always outshone the bad ones, at least in her eyes.
"Nana?" She turned at the voice of the crow +Anima, a welcome and musical sound to her keen ears, to see Cooro standing nearby. Nana smiled and climbed down from the tree branch she had been sitting on. But, as she tried to grip the trunk, she slipped with a small cry, squeezing her eyes closed.
Awaiting the hard thud of the ground, she was surprised to feel someone catch her. She opened her eyes, only to meet those of Cooro. She blushed and smiled at him sheepishly.
He smiled back. Cooro flapped his wings lightly and gently landed on the ground, but didn't set Nana down. The two stared at each other for what could have been two minutes, or two years. Time meant nothing when they were together.
Slowly, the two leaned in, closing their eyes, lips just brushing, heartbeats accelerating with every breath…
"Cooro, Nana! Come on let's get goi- what are you doing?" They froze and turned to see a shocked Husky and Senri. Well, Senri was actually staring blankly at them. Cooro set Nana down quickly and the two of them looked away from each other nervously, Nana whistling and rocking back and forwards on her heels, while Cooro coughed lightly.
Husky looked suddenly disgusted, and Senri found interest in a butterfly. The fish +Anima grabbed the Kimunkle's (sp?) wrist and dragged him away. "Whatever, but we're leaving soon, so hurry up and pack!" Husky shouted to them, gagging slightly. Senri reached back, trying to catch the butterfly in vain.
Cooro broke the awkward silence they had been left in by clearing his throat. Nana smiled a bit and spoke softly. "Um, I- I guess we should go gather our things then?" She turned to Cooro, who nodded. "Ye-yeah, okay."
The bat +Anima started back towards the campsite, when she felt a hand lightly grab her wrist. Turning, she felt Cooro press his lips quickly against hers. Blinking in shock, she lifted the fingers of her free hand to her lips, then smiled.
As she and Cooro walked back to the other two, he whispered to her, "I love you…" Nana couldn't have been happier…
Raggi- Blah. This wasn't that great especially the ending, but it was fun to write. Seriously, there is something addicting about the sound and feel of laptop keys. –Shrugs- I know Nana could have flown TWICE in the part where she was climbing down from the tree, but then the story wouldn't have been as good. I also know Cooro is too eager to transform too, but so friggin' what? So, yeah.
