Chapter 14 end of summer
Harry had spent the last hour sitting on his bed contemplating the now ending summer.
"Did Malfoy ever give the diary to Ginny?" Harry wondered to himself
"Damn, how do I even know if Ginny got the diary at all?" thought Harry frustrated
"Some things in this dimension have changed, so it is possible Ginny doesn't have the diary" Harry thought
"And I'm not sure what the ramifications will be since Rose, Sakura, Alex and Yuna will also be attending" Harry thought
"Harry?" said a voice from the doorway
Harry suppressed the urge to fire a reducto towards the voice that startled him, as he realized it was his brother's voice
"Leon what are you doing up? It's late" Harry asked
"No it isn't, it's a little before sunrise" Leon said
"Really?" Harry said as he walked over to the window and noticed Leon was correct
"Wow I didn't even notice the time" Harry said
"You looked really serious, what were you thinking about" Leon asked
"Just going over the summer and how Hogwarts will be this year" Harry said
"Oh ok" Leon responded
"So do you think you're going to have a good year?" Leon asked
"Maybe but with Rose and the rest of them coming I'm not so sure" Harry said
"I personally think you're screwed" Leon said frankly
"What why?" Harry said confused
"Well you forgot the fact that that a lot of your female friends looked really upset at the ball when you showed up with Yuna" Leon said
"Along with those prats Neville and Draco Malfoy" Leon said
"Oh yeah I did forget that, and I never really got to explain the extent of my relationship with Yuna to all my friends" Harry said
"Oh and you forgot something else" Leon said
"Well go ahead tell me what I forgot, you can't make it anymore worse for me" Harry said
"Didn't you notice the way Aeris reacted to you during the ball" Leon said
"Damn he's right how could I forget that?" Harry thought
"And she'll be at Hogwarts as well" Leon said looking at Harry for his reaction
"Leon you make it sound like I should be afraid of her' Harry said jokingly
"No of course you shouldn't be afraid, but did you know after the ball the minister sent like eight owls asking dad if you can come over to his home" Leon said
"Really?" Harry said somewhat surprised
"Yeah, lucky for you dad made up some really good excuses" Leon said
"Wow I guess I should make breakfast extra special for him then right?" Harry said smiling
"Hey I told you I should get something too!" Leon said not wanting to miss a golden opportunity where he could get a special breakfast
"Don't worry Leon you'll get something too" Harry said while leaving to go make breakfast
"Oh bye the wake everyone up in about twenty minutes I should have breakfast done by then" Harry said from outside the doorway
"Got it" Leon replied

With the help of a couple of charms Harry was already halfway finished making breakfast.
"What would I do without magic?" Harry thought as he watched the pots and pans as they moved through the air, while bacon was being made over the stove and eggs were being fried and scrambled.
Hearing footsteps from the second floor Harry knew his family was awake and it would be a matter of time before they would come down to have breakfast, quickly finishing making the rest of the food Harry saw his sister Lily appear from the doorway and smile a Cheshire grin when she saw all the food he made.
While Lily began to eat the rest of the family appeared gradually and also began to eat while savoring the meal he made
"All was peaceful until about ten minutes into the meal when a medium sized owl with black feather and blue tipped wings flew through the window and landed in front of James
"What's this?" James said as he took the letter and began to open the letter
"Oh it's from Hogwarts" James said
"What does it say James?" Lily asked
"Nothing just announcing the day classes will start" James told her
"Well are you three excited about going to Hogwarts?" James asked gesturing towards Harry, Rose and Sakura, as they all nodded, causing James to smile
"So when do classes start?" Harry asked
"In about three days" James said
"Which means that we have enough time for one party to celebrate the end of summer" said Lily smiling to her family
"Really!?" exclaimed Lily's daughters while her sons were just wide eyed
"Yes why not?" Lily said
"I'm thinking a beach party on an exotic island" Lily said
"So when's this celebration?" Harry said
"Tomorrow around 7:00 pm" Lily said as she watched the girls react very energetically
"I'm going to send the invitations and portkeys today" Lily said smiling
"And who are we inviting dear?" James asked
"Sirius' family of course…….." Lily said
Harry tuned out the rest of the conversation and looked at his brother and his sisters. Leon looked somewhat interested in what his mother was saying but he was paying more attention to the food on his plate rather than Lily's plans.
Harry's sisters were all listening closely as their mother was talking about the party plans. Harry himself was somewhat excited about the party but not as much as everyone else was since he had to worry about the chamber and the diary.
Harry was so immersed in his own thoughts he couldn't hear the six times his mother called his name until his brother tapped him on the shoulder
"Harry are you okay?" Lily asked clearly concerned
"Oh yeah mum, completely fine, never better" Harry said with a smile
"Harry are you okay with the guest list?" his mother asked
"Um I'm sorry could you run the list by me again?" Harry said blushing since he was caught not paying attention
Lily mentioned at least seven names he was not familiar with. He was only able to recognize the names Weasly, Black, Longbottom, Dumbledore and of course Remus
"So is that all?" Harry asked looking at his mother
"Well if you want Harry you can give me the names of anyone else you want to invite" Lily said
"Lets see who to invite……… oh of course!" Harry thought
"Can I invite the Grangers, Patils and perhaps the Zabinis?" Harry asked hopefully since he had never heard a word from Hermione, the Patil sisters or Blaise since the start of the summer
His mother had a questioning look on her face but nonetheless replied "of course Harry"

"Can I ask a question mum?" Harry asked while his mother was casting various charms to clean up the house and backyard
"Of course dear" his mother replied while lifting a very large couch with her wand
"Why did you invite the Longbottoms?" Harry asked trying to figure out what was going through his mothers head
"Well Harry I honestly just want to see if the Potters and Longbottoms can be friends again like we were in the past" Lily said thinking to herself about how much the Longbottoms changed from loyal friends to pretentious snobs.
"Oh I see" Harry responded with a nervous smile
"Mum must have really appreciated the Longbottoms friendship for her to want to make up with them" Harry thought
"Well if you want to be friends with the Longbottoms again mum I'll do my best to make it happen" Harry said with a grin
"Thank you Harry" Lily said feeling proud to have a son like Harry
"Harry is it okay if I ask you a question as well?" Lily said
"Sure mum" Harry replied
"Why did you want to invite those particular families?" Lily asked watching her son
"Well the reason is, I'm good friends with their kids and I haven't spoken to any of them in a while. That's why I invited them" Harry said looking at Lily while she nodded
"Why do you ask?" Harry said looking suspiciously at his mother
"Well the reason I asked is because I really did not want you to invite those families solely because you thought their daughters were pretty" Lily said
"Is she serious?" Harry thought while looking at his mother in disbelief
"Mum I'm not a shallow person" Harry replied in a slightly peeved voice
"I'm sorry Harry but as you know Yuna will be there and you know firsthand how she gets when her veela powers act up" Lily said while looking at her son
"Yes I know that but the fact of the matter is that they are all my friends" Harry retorted
"I realize that Harry, but Yuna will not see it like that will she?" Lily replied as she continued to clean
"I guess not: Harry said knowing there was truth to his mother's logic
"I suppose I can just introduce Yuna to my friends so she won't get the wRong impression during the party" Harry said while his mother smiled at her son.
"Yes that would be a good idea" Lily said happy with her son
"Oh before I forget

Harry awoke the next morning feeling better than the day before. And quickly made breakfast and went into the backyard to relax since the temperature was a warm 80 degrees. After an hour of relaxing he heard shuffling in the kitchen and knew someone was awake and started having breakfast.
He got up and entered the kitchen and saw his sisters and brother were all awake and happily eating.
"Morning" Harry said patting Lily's head
"Morning" everyone replied except for Leon who was still half asleep
"Where are mum and dad?" Harry said wondering
"Dad's in the shower and Mum is still asleep" replied Sylvia quietly eating

Eventually Harry's mother and father came down and the family was having a very peaceful breakfast.
"So is everyone ready for the party?" Lily asked while watching each of her children's reactions
"Yeah!" replied everyone of her daughters while her sons just nodded
"So when's everyone showing up?" Harry asked
"Well the invites said to come around 1:30 pm and that the party will start around 2:00 pm" Lily responded
"And just wondering, the island we're going to what's it called?" Harry asked
"Well the island is somewhere in the Caribbean I'm not sure about the name though, It was very cheap to get portkeys for it though" Lily said
"Oh ok" Harry said

After arriving via portkey Harry and his family stood in disbelief looking at the decorations. There was a fairly large shelter held up by very large pillars with two large rectangular tables obviously divided adults and children. There were no walls so everyone could appreciate the scenery of the beach and there were various things such as surf boards and volleyballs set up next to the shelter. On the tables Harry could see various foods such as Duck a L'orange and various kinds of salads. Of course all the food had protective charms that kept the food warm and bug free. Of course there were two changing rooms almost right next to the shelter for when anyone wanted to go swimming. And of course there were two stalls that were obviously bathrooms.
The only strange thing about the beach Harry noticed, was a formation of large black rocks that formed somewhat of a wall that seemed to stretch across the island separating the island into two halves. The wall was probably as tall as fifty feet
"Wow mum, how'd you do all this in a day?" Harry said in disbelief
"Well let's just say I knew the right spells Harry" Lily said smiling at her children's expressions
"Mum what's up with that wall of rocks over there?" Harry asked
"Oh that" Lily said looking at the massive wall of rocks
"This island used to be inhabited by Grindylows and other very ill mannered creatures. The ministry ordered the Aurors to 'clean up' the island but the Aurors were only partially successful they forced the creatures out of half the island but could not completely get rid of them so instead they created that wall to separate the creatures from the rest of the island" Lily finished
"And why are we having a party here" Harry asked
"Harry everyone who comes here is assured that the wall can never break. So the island is safe ok? There are tons of different charms and failsafes the ministry put in place to make sure nothing can get out of that part of the island " Lily said
"Alright" Harry said still looking at the wall
"Hey James!" said a very familiar voice
"Padfoot!" said James reverting back to his teenage personality
Harry turned to see Sirius' family all smiling as Harry's father and Sirius both began to make fools out of themselves
"Hello Lily" said Amy as she smiled at Lily
"Hello Amy when did you guys show up" Lily asked
"About a minute before you" Amy replied
"Oh hello everyone" said a voice from behind Harry, who automatically recognized it as Remus Lupins
"Hello uncle Remus!" Harry said happily as Remus came and hugged him
"Moony!" said two voices simultaneously, Harry could not help but smile as he watched the three marauders begin talking about how they've been and the good old days
Harry couldn't help but notice the way everyone behaved when they were finished greeting each other. He saw how all the kids moved gradually farther from the adults to speak amongst themselves. And he noticed how the adults were sitting at their table divided, with James and his friends talking to each other and Lily and Amy talking to each other.
Harry snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a voice that sounded very familiar say "Hello Harry"
"Hello Yuna" Harry responded smiling at her while she blushed at his smile
Harry couldn't help but notice how beautiful Yuna looked with her silver blond hair coming past her shoulders and the nice yellow dress that seemed to be alive every time the wind blew. Harry noticing all these features could not help but go very red, this did not go unnoticed as his sisters all went "awwwww" and his father along with Sirius started to chatter about wedding plans.
After about ten minutes the Weasly's arrived and greeted everyone. Molly left to greet Lily and Amy while Arthur went to speak to James the twins immediately rushed at Harry to discuss the new pranks they had in mind for the coming year at Hogwarts Ron and Ginny both not knowing who to talk to stood there looking sheepish until Sakura asked Ginny to join her in speaking to the rest of the girls and Ron was called over by Alex and Leon to obviously discuss Quidditch.
After finishing talking with Fred and George Harry began to make his way to Alex, Ron and Leon
"Hello Ron" Harry said in a very collected voice trying not to seem overly friendly
"Hiya Harry me and your brother were talking about which team could win the cup this year" Ron said obviously excited talking about Quidditch
"Your brother says he's rotting for the Appleby Arrows. And im rooting for the…" Ron was cut off when Harry said
"You were rooting for the Chudley Cannons right?"
"How did you know?" said Ron and Leon with their voices almost sounding identical
"Um Ron let it slip to me the Cannons were his favorite team a couple of months ago at Hogwarts" Harry said smiling at the both of them
Soon more people arrived to join the festivities including the Patils the Grangers and the Zabini's
Harry watched as all the adults met and spoke to one another while all the teenagers were in their own little worlds. He then noticed Yuna looking at Hermione, Blaises and the Patil sisters she was obviously wondering why they were at the party
Harry remembering his mothers words left Ron, Leon and Alex. And went to Yuna and brought her to meet Hermione, Blaise and the Patil's
"Yuna these are my very good friends from school Hermione Granger" Harry said gesturing to the bushy haired girl. Hermione smiled and held out her hand, which Yuna shook smiling back
"Blaise Zabini" Harry said gesturing towards the pale blonde haired girl. Harry noticed Blaise smiled at Yuna and shook her hand but when she turned to look at him she gave him a look that sent a shiver up his spine luckily no one had noticed
"And last but not least the Patil sisters" Harry said as Padma and Parvati shook hands with Yuna
Eventually Harry left the group of girls to their conversation as he left to relax near the water. Before he could do so he heard a voice say "Hello Mr. Potter "
Harry did not need to turn around to see who said his name since he recognized the voice as Albus Dumbledore
"Hello headmaster" Harry said in a well mannered voice
"This is quite the celebration you're mother managed to put together isn't it?" Dumbledore said with his eyes twinkling away as usual
"Yeah amazing considering she only had a day to do it" Harry said mentally reinforcing his Occlumency shields not wanting to take a chance with Dumbledore
"Mr. Potter I was hoping you could tell me what exactly happened to you during the Ministers ball?" Dumbledore said clearly cutting out the middle man
"Oh that well that was only a little heatstroke sir" Harry said smiling
"Oh I see..." Dumbledore said with a contemplative face
"I also wanted to ask if you thought about wanting to be moved up a few grades Mr. Potter. I realize I asked before but I'm hoping you changed your mind" Dumbledore asked with a hopeful voice
"I'm sorry headmaster but I want to be wherever my friends are" Harry said smiling
"I understand" Dumbledore said disappointed
"Why don't you ask Neville sir after all if anyone deserves to move up in life it's the boy who lived. Harry could barley hold back on the sarcasm.
"Unfortunately Mr. Longbottoms grades do not allow him to advance further academically" Dumbledore said sadly missing the Cheshire grin Harry had
"Isn't that Neville's family over there?" Harry said just noticing the Longbottoms arrive
"Ah yes it is" Dumbledore said as he left to meet with Alice and Frank Longbottom
"What a ponce" Harry said aloud as he sat down in the sand looking at the clear blue water as it washed up and down the shore
Harry's relaxation was interrupted when he heard two people walking towards him he turned his head to see both Hermione and Blaise coming towards him
"What are you doing here Harry? Hermione asked as she sat down next to him in the sand
"Just enjoying the scenery" Harry replied as Blaise sat down on his other side
"So what was up with introducing us to your girlfriend?" Blaise said neutrally looking at him
Both Hermione and Blaise had confused expressions when Harry started to crack up with laughter
"What!?" Blaise said clearly upset
"She's not my girlfriend she's only a friend" Harry said as he tried not to laugh in fRont of Blaise
"Then why were you two at the ball acting all lovey dovey?" Blaise replied as Hermione was just looking at both of them
"My parents and her parents are really good friends they thought we should go together. That's all I swear" Harry said smiling
"Anyway is that why you and Hermione came down here? To ask about my love life?" Harry said watching the water again
"We'll actually we both came down here because Neville showed up" Hermione said with a sad voice
"What's he got to do with anything?" Harry asked
"Well when he showed up Ron went to meet him" Hermione said
"I thought so" Harry thought
"After meeting him Ron and Neville both started picking on Hermione" Blaise finished as Hermione was just looking at the water
"Then Neville kept going on about how everyone should stay away from me since I'm a Slytherin" Blaise said her voice completely flat
"Then Longbottoms parents called him over to them while they were talking to Dumbledore" Blaise finished
After spending a few minutes talking about how the summer went for the three of them Harry got up and made his way back towards the party with Blaise and Hermione following
As soon as they arrived Harry heard Neville's voice say "Oh look its Buck tooth Granger and the wannabe death eater Zabini!"
Garry noticed Neville had his voice low enough so that none of the adults could hear him. He also noticed there were only two people laughing at Neville's remark. Neville and Ron. Harry immediately gave Ron a heated glare which caused him to stop laughing
Neville noticed Harry's presence and asked "So Potter you consider my offer of being friends? Or do you prefer to hang out with death eaters?" Neville said looking at Blaise
"I see you haven't changed at all during the summer Neville" Harry said as Neville looked at him
"You're still the same pompous ass you were last year. Except now you're a bit fatter" Harry finished as Hermione, Blaise and everyone within earshot started to laugh, As Neville turned red
Unfortunately Harry's remark was heard by Neville's parents who immediately moved to confRont him.
"How dare you insult my little boy!" said Alice Longbottom
"Is something wRong here Alice?" Lily said as she neared Harry and Neville's location
"Your son just verbally abused my precious little boy!" replied Mrs. Longbottom
"Harry is this true?" Lily asked
"To a certain degree" Harry replied
"I insulted Neville because he kept insulting Blaise and Hermione. Even though they did absolutely nothing to him" Harry said
"Girls is this true?" asked Lily looking at Hermione and Blaise who both replied "yes"
"Well Alice it's clear that your son instigated first so he should apologize to Hermione and Blaise, when he does that I'll have Harry apologize to him" Lily replied
"My son is the boy who lived he apologizes to no one!" Alice said as Neville smirked at Harry
"Well then Harry will not apologize either" Lily replied frowning at Alice
"Fine then" Alice replied as she turned to Neville and told him to stay away from Harry
After Lily and Alice had left Harry and Neville glared at Each other before Harry walked towards Leon and Alex with Hermione and Blaise
"Harry you didn't have to do that" Hermione said
"Yeah we can defend ourselves" Blaise added
"Ok I won't interfere next time" Harry said smiling at them
"So was that really necessary Harry?" asked Leon
"In my opinion yes it was" Harry replied smirking
By nightfall there were about thirty torches lit around the beach as everyone was gathered in the shelter to have dinner. Harry couldn't help but notice storm clouds approaching but made no mention of it as he sat down next to Yuna and began to eat.
Eventually it began to rain. Harry could not help but notice how strange the beach looked at night while it rained.
Everyone began to notice sparks of lightning a bit offshore all the adults quickly began to gather their belongings and told their children to be ready to leave it was during this time Harry heard Mrs. Longbottoms voice shout "Where's Neville!?"
Soon Harry heard Mrs. Weasley say "Ron's missing as well!"
Harry also heard Mrs. Zabini say Blaise was gone
Everyone noticed as the lightning grew more frequent and the winds began to pick up Many of the adults began to spread out to search for the missing children
"Why in the world would Blaise, Ron and Neville just decide to leave? Harry wondered to himself
Harry then noticed Ginny with tears in her eyes looking at the rock wall
"Ginny something wrong?" Harry asked concerned
"Harry my brother Neville and Blaise are at that wall!" Ginny said crying
"What? Why in the world would they be over there?"Harry asked confused
"It was stupid Neville, Ron and Blaise made a bet whoever climbs over the wall and climbs back gets fifty galleons from the two losers" Ginny said sobbing
"You're kidding right?" Harry asked not believing Blaise was that moRonic Ron and Neville maybe but not Blaise
"It's true I swear!" Ginny said
"Shit she's telling the truth!" Harry thought
"Ginny tell the adults okay?" Harry said as Ginny nodded
"Wait where are you going?" Ginny asked her eyes puffed red from crying
"I'm going to see if I can get to them before they do anything stupid!" Harry said as he took off full speed towards the wall
At the wall Harry could not see any trace of Blaise, Neville or Ron. He noticed the storm was getting worse by the minute as the winds picked up and the lightning actually began to make contact with the water
"Damn it!" Harry thought frustrated
"They must have already climbed over" thought Harry
Quickly merging into the walls shadow, Harry was on top of the wall looking for any trace of the missing trio
"Where could they be?" Harry thought frustrated while his eyes scanned the very dark beach
"Leave it to the ministry to only safeguard against creatures getting out, They obviously didn't count on anyone getting in" Harry thought
"What are those?" Harry thought noticing various shadows moving from the forested part of the island to a part of the wall directly below him
"Who is that?" Harry said to himself noticing someone was casting mid-level spells towards the shadows
"Oh no" Harry said to himself identifying the creatures that were moving toward the person he saw at the bottom of the wall. Grindylows, fire crabs, fire slugs and blast-ended screwts were only a small portion of the many creatures Harry identified moving closer to the wall
Quickly merging with the shadows Harry was at the bottom of the wall within two seconds.
Harry quickly began to move towards the person fighting the creatures but tripped over what he thought was a rock but upon closer inspection realized it wasNeville passed out with Ron both cradling each other
"Oh this is too good" Harry thought to himself
"Reducto!" Harry heard as his attention was brought back to the matter at hand
From behind Blaise Harry discreetly cast multiple serpensortia spells and instructed the fairly large snakes to cover him and Blaise if they were too out numbered and told them not to harm his companions to which they replied in Parseltongue "yes master"
"Blaise behind you!" Harry shouted
"Harry how did you-" Blaise started
"Sectumsempra!" Harry said as a Blast-ended screwt behind Blaise lost a chunk of its body
"Just come on" Harry said dragging Blaise towards the nearly catatonic Neville and Ron, Harry and Blaise stopped moving when they realized apart from the lightning in the sky there were no more sounds coming from the creatures
"Blaise there's something really bad behind us isn't there? Harry asked
"I think so" Blaise said as she and Harry slowly turned to see an extremely large Chimera emerge from the group of creatures. Harry had never ever met a chimera in his own time and had no idea how to fight one all he knew was that a chimera had a strange body and it could breathe fire
"You must be kidding" Blaise said as she stared at the chimera which was about as big as Hagrid
"Blaise get to Ron and Neville and put your backs to the wall and wait for me" Harry said releasing a large amount of magic from his suppressor funneling it into his right hand moving his wand into his left hand
"What you can't be serious!" Blaise said
"Blaise I know what I'm doing okay?" Harry said giving her a cocky grin
"Alright but I'm covering you from here" Blaise said as she moved a short distance away pointing her wand at the chimera
"God I hope this works…" Harry said as he extended his right arm towards the shore while the chimera began to take in air
"c'mon c'mon c'mon" Harry repeated in his head. Harry's prayers were answered soon enough when a bolt of lightning appeared in the sky
"THERE IT IS!" Harry thought
"Accio lightning!" Harry shouted as the lightning bolt stopped in midair and began to twist erratically finally speeding towards Harry's outstretched hand
Blaise Zabini was completely speechless for the first time in her life as she watched Harry Potter holding a bolt of lightning in his hand
"God this hurts!" Harry thought as small amounts of electricity moved across his boody thanks to the water from the rain
Harry noticed the chimera was finished drawing air and was about to release a torrent of fire on Harry and Blaise.
"Here goes nothing!" Harry thought as he released the lightning from his hand just as the chimera released a very large amount fire. The lightning cut straight through the fire and hit the chimera dead center in its chest the chimera was propelled so far across the beach Harry couldn't see where it landed or if it ever landed. Harry watched as the electricity shot out everywhere hitting various creatures.
A large majority of the creatures quickly began to retreat back into the forested area of the island leaving only a handful of fire crabs and fire slugs
"Take them out!" Harry said in Parseltongue as the snakes immediately lunged at the remaining creatures
Harry decided not to look at the literal slaughter and made his way towards Blaise as she could only stare at him
"Blaise you're not telling anyone about this are you? Harry asked as he covered his arm from her sight
"Sure I won't but what about Longbottom and Weasley?" Blaise asked
"Oh it looks like they passed out a while ago" Harry said smiling as he gestured to Neville and Ron passed out hugging each other
"So what are we supposed to tell the adults when they show up?" Blaise asked trying to look at Harry's arm as he hid it from her
"The truth. Tell them the truth without the whole snakes and lightning part of it ok?" Harry said looking at Blaise
"Alright" Blaise said sitting down exhausted while Harry transfigured a nearby chunk of seaweed into gauze for his arm
"How are we supposed to get over this wall now?" Blaise asked as Harry finished wrapping the gauze around his arm
"That's easy I'll levitate all of you to the top of the wall and when you're up there you can levitate me vice versa we'll do the same when we need to get down too " Harry said as he noticed Blaise looking at his arm
"Just a small burn nothing to worry about" Harry said smiling
"What do you think about my idea?" Harry asked eager to change the subject
"Oh yeah, it's a good idea" Blaise said still looking at the now wrapped up arm

"Finally" Blaise said as they were all back on the other side of the wall
"So why'd you agree to that ridiculus bet in the first place?" Harry asked as he dragged Ron and Neville back towards the shelter
"I don't know. I guess it was because Longbottom and Weasly kept saying I was afraid to do it and in a weak moment I decided to take them up on the bet" Blaise said regretting the decision
"Well I suppose some good came out of it" Harry said after a long silence
"What do you mean" Blaise asked
"Well if you didn't go with them Neville and Ron would have been history" Harry said smirking at Blaise
"Yeah I guess you're right" Blaise said feeling better
"Neville!" said three voices at the same time which Harry recognized as Dumbledores and Mr. and Mrs. Longbottoms
"What did you do to him?" said Alice Longbottom glaring at Blaise as she returned the glare ten fold
"I didn't do anything you old bat your son just passed out" Blaise responded as Mrs. Lonbottom walked past her and shoved Harry out of the way holding Neville as Dumbledore and Mr. Lonbottom began to examine him
"Harry are you alright!?" said Lily potter as she moved to hug her son while James, Sirius and Remus were closely watching
"I'm fine mum" Harry said as he got away from his mothers vice-like hug
"What happened in there Harry? Sirius asked as he checked Harry for injuries
"I'm fine" Harry reiterated as Sirius stopped and stood with his parents looking at him waiting for an explanation
"Nothing really happened I found Blaise, Ron and Neville at the other side of the wall me and Blaise fought a few Fire crabs and Slugs and then left that's all" Harry said as Dumbledore moved to check Ron for injuries
"And why were Neville, Ron and Blaise there in the first place Harry?" Dumbledore asked as he checked Ron
"We made a stupid wager to see who could climb over the wall and back again" Blaise said getting a scowl from Mrs. Longbottom
"My son would never agree to a wager like that you obviously forced him to agree to it!" Mrs. Longbottom exclaimed
"Actually Mrs. Longbottom Neville was the one who came up with it in the first place" Harry said also getting a scowl from Mrs. Longbottom
"You little liar!" Mrs. Longbottom said with venom as Lily tried to pull out her wand but was stopped by James
"All that matters is that everyone is safe let's go back to the shelter. Blaise you're father left to go get ministry aurors here so he'll be back soon and your mother is waiting at the shelter ok? James said as Blaise nodded and everyone began to move back to the shelter
Harry immediately was blindsided by everyone of his sisters when they saw him as Leon sat calmly in a chair shaking his head at his sisters.
"Harry what happened?! Said Rose
"Were you attacked"? Asked Sakura
"Did you die?" said Lily clearly oblivious to what she said
"Don't worry I'm fine I just got Ron, Blaise and Neville and came back that's all I swear" Harry said as his sisters all gave him a look saying 'you had better explain when bwe get home'
Harry looked over and noticed Blaise was facing the same questioning from her mother. He also noticed Mr. Zabini arrived with ten aurors including Kingsley and Shacklebolt.among the aurors he unfortunately spotted Rita Skeeter with her infamous quick-quotes quill he guessed she tagged along the moment she heard the word 'Neville'. He even saw Lucius Malfoy who he guessed was there because he wanted to see the boy who lived die or get brutally maimed
"Ok let's get to the bottom of what exactly happened out there shall we?" Dumbledore said as he pointed his wand to Neville and Ron and said "Ennervate". The pair woke up almost instantly
Ron immediately checked his surroundings and sighed in relief since he wasn't back with the creatures. Neville said something incoherent and slowly got up looking at everyone in the shelter
"Neville my boy can you tell us what happened at the wall?" Dumbledore asked in his grandfatherly voice
"Um I'm not sure I remember sir I remember goading Zabini into a bet but-"he immediately stopped and said "I mean she goaded me into a bet to see who could climb over the wall and back again"
Neville looked around at the people present and knew none of them believed him for a second and he finally said "okay I goaded her into it" Blaise gave a smirk to Mrs. Longbottom who just averted her gaze
"We got over the wall, She made it first then me then Weasley we were about to climb over again when we were attacked by this thing near the water" Neville said as Harry noticed Rita Skeeter furiously scribbling
"Zabini shot something at it and it let out a pretty loud squeal then it left but more of those things came out from the water and different ones came from deeper in the island. Then it gets blurry I guess I got hit from behind" Neville finished
"Wait Neville we had our backs to a wall how could something get you from behind weren't all the creatures were in fRont of us?" Blaise said smiling as everyone realized Neville had just passed out
"Um yea I guess…." Neville said as he trailed off. Harry noticed an almost demonic grin on Rita's face as she scribbled and he saw a couple of aurors snickering
"Mr. Weasly do you remember anything at all the Neville hasn't told us?" Harry knew that this would go nowhere he and Blaise sat down and started to drink some soda as Ron started speaking
"Well I remember some stuff" Ron said as everyone leaned a little forward
"I saw Neville pass out next to me"
Everyone except Malfoy suppressed a need to laugh as Ron continued
"And I remember Zabini started to hold off like five of the things that attacked us"
Mr. and Mrs. Zabini smiled at Blaise as Ron kept going
"Then right before I passed out I saw Harry show up from out of nowhere from behind me and Neville" Ron said as Harry noticed all heads turned towards him
"Oh Hell" Harry thought catching a look from his family that said 'you are in such trouble for lying'
"And that's it" Ron finished. Harry felt relief wash over him as he relaxed and began to sip his soda
"Wait there was some other stuff" Ron said as everyone moved forward again
"I hope it isn't anything important" Harry thought drinking his soda looking at Ron
"There were three things that were really weird, for some god-only-knows-why reason these massive snakes showed up around the time Harry came to help"
Harry again felt sick as everyones heads whirled towards his direction all he could say was "Hey I don't know why either okay?"
"Then this massive two-headed thing showed up it was spitting fire all over" Ron exclaimed as everyone thought "A chimera?"
"Now im not sure if I was dreaming or not but then the moment the monster shot fire at us Harry put out his hand and lightning came out! It hit the monster dead on and it flew back god-knows how far then the freaking snakes started to attack anything that didn't run away!" Ron finished
Harry felt like disappearing right then and there when every head in the shelter was staring at him
"Well I am totally and completely fucked" Harry thought as he prepared to tell everyone what happened
"I guess I should explain right?" Harry said sheepishly as Dumbledore said "That would help Harry"
"Okay I did summon the snakes" Harry started ignoring the looks sent his way by the aurors and Dumbledore "I summoned them in case anything tried to get near Ron or Neville because they could not defend themselves, I made sure that the snakes themselves were harmless by putting charms around Ron, Blaise, Neville and myself that repelled them" Harry finished as everyone accepted his logic Except for Neville and his parents along with Dumbledore
"And the lightning Mr. Potter?" Dumbledore asked
"Well I actually had no idea if that would work" Harry said as his parents gave him a look that promised a punishment
"I actually got the lightning concept from a book I read the book spoke about a spell called the Accio spell" Harry said as he saw his parents and Dumbledores eyes widen in realization
"The spell causes anything to come to you when its name is said with the word Accio" Harry explained as everyone began to comprehend what he did
"What I did was I took a lot of my magic and sent it to my right hand keeping it there I then saw lightning and tried the spell the bolt of lightning came towards me and I caught it in my hand and kept it there with my magic but I couldn't control a lot of it because of the rainfall and my hand got a little burned" Harry began to unwrap the qauze from around his hand
All the children in the room visibly flinched when they saw the state Harrrys hand was in there was no blood but there were various burns, third degree burns on the palm, second degree burns covering the rest of the hand and first degree burns on his wrist vovering most of his forearm besides the burns there were various bruises at random points on his hand and arm
"When I realized that the chimera would start breathing fire I cut off the magic flow to my hand and directed the lightning towards the chimera it hit and the chimera went flying and the other creatures ran away" Harry finished seeing the looks of awe from almost every person in the room
"And the snakes Mr. Potter why did they attack the rest of the creatures?" Dumbledore asked
"I'm not sure Headmaster I suppose they realized that they couldn't touch any of us so they went for the creatures instead" Harry said Watching Rita's Quill go into overdrive
"Very well thank you for your honesty Mr. Potter. Kingsley can you take five of your aurors to explore the site of these children's escapades" Dumbledore asked putting emphasize on 'escapades'
"Of course Dumbledore" Kingsley replied as he and five other aurors left for the wall
"Albus will you not do anything? That boy endangered our son" Mrs. Longbottom said gesturing to Harry
"Alice Harry saved your son he is a hero" Dumbledore said as he began to leave to speak with James and Lily privately while Mrs. Longbottom left to baby Neville
Harry did not get five seconds to himself before a pair of arms wrapped around him and a face buried itself into his back. Harry could easily tell whose arms these were as he said "Yuna I'm okay so you can let go now"
Harry noticed that Yunas eyes were almost completely bloodshot which told him how much she was crying
"I was really worried Harry" Yuna said in between sobs
"I'm sorry I made you worry Yuna but don't cry anymore ok I'm fine see?" Harry said while smiling at her
"Yuna began to tear up again when she noticed his hand and how badly it was damaged. Harry quickly hid it from her sight and said "don't worry all I need are a couple of potions and I'll be fine Yuna"
"But you came really close to dying just like last time" Yuna said nearly hysterical
"Last time?" Harry said not understanding what Yuna was talking about
"You see?! You don't even remember the last time you nearly died! It's almost as if you don't care whether you live or die" Yuna said almost unable to stand
"I don't get it when the hell did I nearly die... wait Quirrel of course!" Harry thought
"I didn't really think she worried that much about me. Did everyone feel this way when they heard I fought Quirrel?" Harry thought
"Yuna have I ever broken a promise to you?" Harry asked as Yuna stopped crying
"No not really why?" Yuna asked
"How about I make you a promise right now?" Harry said as Yuna continued to stare at him confused
"What promise?" Yuna asked
"I promise that I will never be killed by any person or thing. The only way I'll ever die is many years from now on my deathbed with my family standing all around me. Harry proclaimed smiling while Yuna wiped away her tears
"So what do you think?" Harry asked looking at Yuna
"You promise right?" Yuna asked
"Of course" Harry replied
"Pinky swear?" Yuna said
"What the hell?" Harry thought
"Um okay pinky swear" Harry said linking pinkies with Yuna causing her to smile. Harry could have sworn he heard very familiar voices going 'awwwww'
"Remember you can't break a pinky swear Harry" Yuna said smiling
"Of course Yuna" Harry said walking away to talk to his friends until he felt Yuna hug him again. Harry noticed that Blaise slightly glared at him before returning to her conversation with her mother. Harry also noted that Both the Patils smiled at him and mouthed 'write us' before they started talking to each other. Harry for some reason could not spot Hermione or Ginny.
"Um Yuna could you let go of me now please?" Harry asked slightly blushing as he just now noticed that Yuna's dress was wet and clingy
"Oh! Sorry Harry" Yuna said blushing as she rushed over to Sakura and Rose and began to speak to them
Harry was about to relax when he heard a voice say "Mr. Potter pleasure to meet you"
Harry did not need to turn around to identify the voice he simply said "Good evening Mr. Malfoy" before he turned to look at him
Harry noticed Malfoy was obviously stumped as he tried to figure out how Harry identified him
"You sound a little like your son sir I just put two and two together" Harry said
"Clever boy" Lucius said smirking at him
"Wanker. Probably wants to know why I chose to summon snakes" Harry thought
"Is there something you wanted Mr. Malfoy?"
"Yes I was curious how a young boy like you learned to summon snakes" Lucius said smiling
"A book sir" Harry said
"Forgive me Mr. Potter but books on summoning snakes are rather hard to find in this day and age. Would you mind being specific?" Lucius said
"Smarter than I thought, perhaps I can use this to get him to tell me about the Diary" Harry thought to himself clearly tapping into the Slytherin side of his personality
"Can I tell you a secret sir?" Harry said as Malfoy said "of course"
"Ever since I was a child I've had an interest in well magic considered 'taboo'." Harry said noticing the smile on Lucius' face
"Do tell child" Lucius said barely containing the glee in his voice
"Things like dark artifacts or rituals anything actually" Harry said as he studied Malfoy's face seeing various emotions
"Mr. Malfoy are you okay?" Harry asked as Malfoy snapped back into reality and asked him "Harry do you know anything about He-who-must-not-be-named?"
"Wow that was quicker than expected" Harry thought
"a little bit sir I try my best to find whatever I can on him but many of the books are under heavy guard and observation" Harry said
"I see" Malfoy said
"But one of the books I did manage to read actually told me about the Serpensortia spell"
"That was the spell you used!?" Malfoy said clearly shocked since the spell required a fairly dark will which was reserved only to Slytherins
"Yes sir I used it about ten times" Harry said almost burting out laughing when Malfoy's eye twitched and his mouth hung open
"Ten times?" Malfoy said looking like he struck gold
"Yes sir ten I think it may have been more" Harry said while thinking "I think he might have a stroke if I keep telling him this stuff"
"Harry I would like for you if possible to meet with Draco over the school year and exchange ideas. You may not have known Draco is almost just like you when it comes to the dark arts constantly craving knowledge he may even have some books for you to read. What do you say?" Malfoy said smiling
"That would be great Mr. Malfoy!" Harry exclaimed with fake enthusiasm
Harry noticed Malfoy's smile changed into a frown. "Damn did he figure me out?" Harry thought.
"How are you Lucius?" said a voice from behind Harry
"Dumbledore always at the worst time" Harry thought
"What were you discussing with Harry Lucius?" Dumbledore asked as Malfoy gave a sneer to Dumbledore and said "Discussing some of Mr. Potters reading habits that's all headmaster"
"I see" Dumbledore said as Kingsley reappeared with his aurors giving Harry an amazed look. Harry noticed his father and mother arrive to hear what Kingsley had to say
"Kingsley what did you and your men find?" James asked
"Sir, well the area when we arrived looked almost exactly like a twisted warzone" Kingsley started
"There were at least five fairly large Blast-ended screwts dead as door nails strewn across the beach along with dozens of other dead creatures like Fire Slugs and Fire crabs there were also a fair amount of grindylows floating in the water they were all bitten by snakes . The most troublesome part was that those snakes the kid summoned would simply not go down, when we found them they were trying to kill a few dozen Fire Slugs we kept cursing and hexing the things but they just kept coming" Kingsley said
"Well that certainly is-"Dumbledore started
"I'm not done yet" Kingsley said
"Only one screwt actually died from a spell we assumed it was Harry that did it, since most of the left half of its body was missing we think the other four died from the lightning bolt the water must have caused the electricity to move around killing everything within the area the chimera was the worst thing we ever saw it was floating a mile away from the shore, all we had to do was follow a trail of electrocuted fish, anyway the chimera's corpse had a cauterized hole in its chest going almost straight through its body" Kingsley finished Harry looked at everyone's faces and noticed all of them were openly gaping
"Is that all?" asked James as he looked incredulously at Kingsley who only nodded
"What sort of snake were summoned?" asked Lucius after a long silence
"We identified them as Taipans" Kingsley said everyone that heard that turned to look at Harry as he replied "those were the only snakes I could think of"
"How many were there?" asked James
"Fifteen" said Kingsley
"Well um good work Kingsley I suppose you can leave now" James said not sure how to react to the news
Harry not wanting to be around for even more questioning complained his arm hurt and asked to be excused. He only managed to get ten steps away from them before he was forced into a chair with Rita Skeeter sitting next to him smiling at him
"Can I help you?" Harry asked being polite
"Yes I'm Rita Skeeter I'm a reporter for the prophet and-"Rita started
"I know who you are Ms. Skeeter I just didn't recognize you" Harry said looking at Rita with an analytical eye "you are a correspondent for witch weekly and your notorious for yellow journalism(1)" Harry finished looking at Rita's expression
"You're fairly well informed aren't you Mr. Potter?" Rita said
"So what can I help you with?" Harry asked already having a vague idea what Rita wanted
"Well if it isn't too much trouble I wanted to get an interview with you about what happened on the other side of that wall" Rita said taking out her infamous Quick-quotes quill
"Ok but only a few questions alright. And if you lie at all or exaggerate in your report I'll simply walk away" Harry said knowing full well Rita would not obey this rule
"Very well let's start" Rita said fairly quickly as her Quill already began to write
"Why did you go over the wall in the first place?" Rita asked as her Quill stopped to wait for an answer
"I heard that my friend Blaise went over the wall with Neville and Ron. To be honest I probably wouldn't have gone if Blaise and Ron weren't involved. I could really care less about Neville" Harry said bluntly as the Quill moved across the parchment
Harry tilted his head to read what the Quill wrote and saw it wrote only one sentence so far…
Harry potter best friend of the boy who lived meets with me Rita Skeeter to discuss how he managed to help the boy who lived save young Ron Weasley and Blaise Zabini….
"Goodbye Ms. Skeeter you no longer have my consent to write about me" Harry said standing up suppressing a smirk
"What?" Rita said quickly realizing that Harry saw the starting sentence
"I'm done here Ms. Skeeter if you wish you can interview Longbottom or Ron to get their stories but I'm not telling you a thing. Harry said walking away from her and out the shelter towards the water
"How could all this stuff happen on a day where all of us were supposed to have fun?" Harry thought as he lay in the sand trying to accelerate is arms healing
Harry heard two sets of feet coming towards him which caused him to think "what now?"
Harry stood up to see who came to bother him and saw Ron with Ginny next to him
"Evening Ron, Ginny" Harry said in his usual calm voice
"Hi Harry" both of them said with Ron looking fairly sheepish
"Something wrong Ron?" Harry asked
"I just wanted to thank you for what you did at the wall" Ron said looking down
"Ron not looking someone in the eyes when you speak to them is an insulting" Harry said as Ron's head slowly came up making eye contact with him
"You were saying?" Harry asked
"Well I wanted to thank you. You came to help me and Neville, even though we were making fun of you and the rest of your friends" Ron said
"Ron to tell the truth you are working a lot of people's nerves" Harry said as Ron looked down again
"You are a nice enough person but when Neville shows up you almost always turn against your friends. And all I can tell you is that during the school year you had best decide who your real friends are before it's too late and we want nothing to do with you ok? Harry said as Ron nodded solemnly and left back to the shelter leaving Ginny with Harry
"Ginny what is it?" Harry asked politely as she got a tiny bit red
"Um I just wanted to thank you for saving Neville and Ron Harry. They mean the world to me" Ginny said as Harry thought "looks like she still harbors some type of affection towards Neville"
"Is that all Ginny?" Harry asked feeling the day's events taking a toll on his body
"I'm also glad you're okay harry" Ginny said blushing as she looked down at her feet
"Thank you for that Ginny" Harry said smiling
"I suppose now is the best time to find out if she has the diary but how? I just can't ask her. It looks like I'll have to use Legilimency I'm sorry about this Ginny" Harry thought as he began to scan Ginny's mind for any memory of the diary
"There!" Harry thought as he found a memory showing Ginny had the diary.
"Ginny over here!" called a voice Harry recognized as Sakura's
"Sorry Harry see you later" Ginny said as she left to meet Sakura
"I'll probably have to get the diary during the school year. Harry thought Harry was so immersed in his thoughts he didn't notice his mother called over eight times
Harry finally snapped out of his thought and went over to see what his mother wanted "Yeah mum?" Harry asked noticing Rita was interviewing Ron
"Harry get ready to leave we have to do something about your arm" Lily said concerned looking at his bandaged arm
"let me see it Harry I want to cast some disinfectant charms on it" Lily said as Harry began to unwrap his arm but stopped when he noticed almost all the first degree burns on his arm were gone leaving only small tints of red
"I think the magic flow to my arm greatly accelerated the healing" Harry thought as he noticed his mother was still waiting for him to unwrap the rest of his arm. Quickly hiding the visible portion of his arm from his mother Harry quickly said "actually mum I think my arm is fine I already washed it thoroughly with water so it's clean" Harry said reapplying the gauze
"Well when we get home I'm going to look at your arm myself and see how bad it is" Lily said suspicious at her sons change in attitude "In the mean time tell your brother and sisters to get ready ok?" Lily said gathering up the family's belongings
"Okay mum" Harry said "thank god I didn't think she'd buy that" Harry thought as he gathered his siblings and said goodbye to everyone in the shelter

After arriving back at the potter home Lily immediately asked to see Harry's arm but he was a step ahead of her saying as he went up the stairs " not now mum I think I have a potion that might be able to help me" Lily could only look at James in bewilderment as she asked "does he have potions up there?" "I don't know anything about what Harry does anymore" James said smiling as all the Potter children left to go to their rooms
Harry came back down to see his mother sitting at the kitchen table waiting for him with his father almost asleep on his chair
"Did your potion work Harry?" Lily asked looking at Harry
"Well sort of" Harry said as she showed his arm to his mother "god let the potions lie work" Harry thought Lily only stared in shock looking at Harry's arm which now was almost completely healed except for some of the third degree burns which were starting to heal as well
"It looks like the potion worked after all Harry" Lily said after closely examining his arm
"Uh not really it was supposed to heal the burns instantly" Harry said a his mother began to disinfect the burns on his arm "I think I must've screwed up some of the potion" Harry finished as his mother was done disinfecting the burns
"Professor Snape must be teaching you very well Harry" Lily said still somewhat suspicious at her son
"Yeah he's one of my best teachers" Harry said suppressing the sarcasm from spilling into his voice
"Well I suppose I should go to bed now bye mum" Harry said climbing the stairs almost eager to get away from his mothers suspicious gaze
Lily sighed to herself and looked at the clock which read 1:00am. She shook her husband awake and told him to go upstairs before leaving herself wondering o herself "what could Harry be hiding from me?"
A/N – Yay! Nearly thirty pages I feel so proud . Well like I said it took me a fairly long time to come out with this chapter since it was so long as a note there should be a new chapter roughly every eight or nine days that's probably the best I can do.
