Derek thought he wanted to be his big brother.

He wanted protect him and keep him safe from all the evils in the world. He wants to watch over him and make him happy when the world around him is swallowing him whole. Just like he did with his sisters.

He wanted to he a shoulder when there wasn't anyone else. He wanted to be the one person he felt he could go to with no consequences.

He wanted to be the one who'll protect him. He wanted to be his best friend, confidante, and big brother. Someone you can always trust and count on.

It was after a particularly dangerous case when Derek grabbed Spencer and kissed him roughly up against a bathroom door. Spencer gave a loud moan of pleasure, twinning lanky arms around his neck allowing Derek to dive in deeper.

It was hours later when he woke up with Spencer sprawled around him that he realized he didn't really want to be his brother. He wanted to be this.
