Sadistic Glee

Sadistic glee Marshall decided was the appropriate term to describe the obvious delight Mary was taking in her razzing him about Dana. He had heard the tem once in a song and somehow it had gotten filed away with his ever increasing store of trivial knowledge. That knowledge had actually been almost literally a lifesaver recently when a witness transfer had gone all to Hell. But now was not the time or place to dwell on the events. It was however an appropriate time for sadistic glee as he sat at his desk waiting for his partner's arrival and the latest round of razzing.

Still he had to admit he was enjoying his time spent with Dana although getting caught making out in the car had been in his best laid plans that night. But there was no way he was gonna let slip about the men's room tryst; he knew Mary would never let him live that one down! Fortunately they had managed to exit the restroom before someone else needed to utilize it for the intended purposes and return to their table with their clothing only slightly disarrayed.

Seeing Mary approaching her desk he quickly got to his feet a cup of her favorite coffee in hand. A peace offering to get her to leave him in peace. Seeing the tiredness in her face, the evidence of an obviously sleepless night, he silently placed on her desk and made his way back to his. Giving her a cheerful smile in greeting, he began to sort through the paperwork that now demanded his attention.
