Ok, so this is a song by Superchick from their new album, "Rock What You Got". Songs title: "Breathe" .

This takes place just before "The Awakening" :)

...

Katara sat quietly next to him. He looked so peaceful as if sound asleep after a long day's work. The only problem was he had been like this for nearly three weeks now.

"You have to wake up, Aang...", Katara whispered. "The world needs you, I need you!"

Please tell me you'll fight this fight,

I can't see without your light,

I need you to breathe into my life.

Katara watched as his chest rose and fell painfully slowly. Each exhale made her heart speed up as she imagined that it wouldn't rise again.

Don't tell me this is goodbye,

I won't grieve - It's not yet time.

Each time he inhaled, it brought her hope.

"As long as he keeps breathing, everything will be fine," she told herself.

Each breath breathed is keeping hope alive.

Aang winced as if pained by something. Katara gentle lifted him to check on the wound on his back.

"Time for another healing..." she sighed. Though it was keeping him alive, she hated doing it as he would gasp in pain almost every time.

"At least he's still breathing..." she reminded herself.

So keep breathing,

Go on, breathe in.

Keep on breathing,

Go on breathe in.

Just breathe...

She rolled him over gently and used waterbending to clean the the wound. She felt his muscles tighten beneath her hands. A tear slipped down her cheek.

"It wont take too long, Aang. I promise."

Each breath breathed means we're alive,

And life means that we can find

the reasons to keep on getting by.

Her hands glowed as she touched the burnt skin. Aang relaxed. Katara sighed. She knew what she had to do next and it wouldn't feel good.

"I'm sorry, Aang..." she said, before forcing the water deep into the wound. Aang gasped and moaned. Katara closed her eyes, concentrating on the energy built up in his back, trying to clear it away.

"Almost there, Aang; hold on!"

And if reasons we can't find,

We'll make up some to get by.

Till breath by breath, we'll leave this behind.

Katara retracted the water and put it back in it's jar. She hadn't been able to clear the energy block. Carefully, she placed Aang back in his bed. She sat down on the edge and watched him breathe, slowly laying her head on his chest to listen. She heard his heart, slowly thumping away. Reaching up, she placed a kiss on his forehead.

"I'll try again tomorrow, Aang. Hopefully you'll be awake then..." She stood and left the room, it was nearly noon and she hadn't left his side, not even to eat.

"I'll be back in a few minutes. Just keep breathing," she said. "If only you could hear me..."

All you have to do is breathe.

...

All done! Hope you enjoyed it! I'm listening to the song on iTunes right now. Try and find a way to hear it; it's very good.
