"Hey Teach, Am I missing something or did our school just go to the dogs?"

Coming over to the edge of the moat, leaned a young teen monster. Her face pulled to the side in a snide smile as she looked over at Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy on the shore. Hands on her hips, she then turned to glance over at the various bobbing people in the moat.

She seemed only a bit younger then Melvin himself, or at least that was his best guess. Definitely a teen monster, and one of the students that had been mentioned at dinner. A stark teal Mohawk stuck straight up off the top of her head, with short shaven sides to help display her fin like ears. Around half as wide as one of those portable, hand fans that some ladies carried on hot days. Her teeth were sharp and pointy, partnered with a pair of orange slit pupil eyes.

Making her stare a bit too predatory, for Melvin's liking.

'Then again, human teenage girls are scary too.' The young boy thought to himself with a shrug in the water. Treading in the moat till the others got out. Waiting to see what was happening, he kept watching the new girl at the waters edge.

Her skin looked normal, abet with a blue ish hue to it. No clear indication of scales or anything. At least what he could see of her limbs from her outfit. But Melvin was a bit taken aback, as the girl was wearing a modern looking, human clothing. Well, the teachers did seem to dress pretty normal too. But it still surprised Melvin for it to be so... standard teenager girl wear.

Sitting around her upper body, was a denim jacket. It had the cuffs rolled up to let her forearms show, and brought attention to her webbed hands with a bunch of loose golden bracelets and bangles at her wrists. Under the jacket was an untucked, long grey tank top, with a skeleton fish logo printed on it. She was wearing some black leggings around her legs. And had on what looked to be a blue converse like shoes, but with the toe parts missing. Making it into a sandal with laces, showing off her webbed toes. And while he couldn't see the back of her, she didn't seem to have a tail or anything.

Melvin's experience and exposure to what monsters did and didn't have, was limited. So, maybe some of the girls that were showing up, could have tails.

"The day has been stranger." Melvin muttered to himself.

One by one, the bobbing gang, the teachers and Melvin were slowly climbing onto shore.

Lifting herself from the water, Sibella changed into a bat before returning to her normal form. The change, somehow dropping off the water from her body, leaving her dry. Which was an amazing feat, with hair as long as Sibella had. Must take forever without that little trick.

Velma stared wide eyed at the change, and quickly turned to the nearby Tanis to help her out of the moat and quickly dive into a conversation about something that was way over the teen boy's head. Melvin thought that it had to have been about how the vampire teacher had managed to get all the water off of her. But was using larger words then he knew what they meant, but at least the pair were happy?

"...Here."

Distracted from looking about, Melvin then noticed the hand sticking out at him while he was still in the water. The hand was large, but also dainty at the same time. Slender fingers were held loosely in his direction, offering an unspoken call to be taken. The stitches at the wrist gave away who the digits belonged too. It was the Elsa, the Frankenteen daughter and crafting teacher. While her looming shadow and height was slightly intimidating, the rest of her was a sweet nature individual.

He took her up on it.

"Why thank youWAH!"

Once his hand was closing the gap, Elsa grabbed a firm hold and then hoisted the young boy out of the water effortlessly. He hung from her grip for a second, letting the boy drip dry a bit before she lightly placed him on the bank of the moat. Waiting till he got his feet under him, before letting go. Tilting her head, she scanned him over before smiling and tossing a wave at him being ok. Seeing that he was fine, she then wandered off to where her best friend was talking feverishly with Velma.

"Now Blue, that is a rude way to treat our guests." Floating over, Phanty had her arms crossed and shook her head disapprovingly at the fishy student. The comment catching Melvin's attention, looking over at the pair.

"But I didn't say anything wrong." She jingled as her webbed hand gestured over to where Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy sat. At least two of the three were in fact, dogs.

"That is clearly two dogs, and a man who looked like a reject werewolf. I stand by my statement. He even shook the water off like a dog!" The fish girl seemed to huff at the teachers. Crossing her arms in front of herself and turning her head away in protest.

"Well, she isn't wrong." Unfazed, Shaggy just shrugged and smiled at her. Snapping Velma out of her conversation to stare at her friend and Fred wandered over with a look on his face as well.

"Uh, is this another one of those things you have deemed necessary to tell us less information unless needed?" Velma sighed, slowly getting used to the idea of Shaggy having more secrets then she knew about before. Not that he wasn't allowed to have them, but it seemed the longer they were at the school, the more of them were coming out of the wood work. And personally, she preferred if her own past to stay there where she wasn't able to think about it.

"Oh, was this about the races?" Daphne perked up and asked, seemly less shocked then Fred and Velma was. Mentioning a specific moment that she seemed to know of from Shaggy's past.

Shaggy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, after being a coach here, I traveled with my girlfriend around for a time before getting kidnapped by a Dracula and turned into like' a werewolf. And I wasn't allowed to be turned back, unless I won the car race against other monsters."

"Yeah, you told me about this, a bit after I was turned back from being a werewolf that one time when we were chasing down those Ghosts from the Chest." Which earned another wide eyed look from Fred and Velma. Especially how nonchalantly Daphne had phrased it. 'oh yeah, that one time when I was a werewolf too.'

"Yeah, though that will be a story for another time."
"You better."
"Though that was after Scooby was a werewolf, when we were traveling around with Scrappy for a while."
"Oh! I remember that time!"

"And then much later, Velma was one. But I like' forgot that you all forgot about that because of the Goblin King. Though Daphne was turned into a witch that time, and Fred was a vampire. So, only Velm's was changed into a werewolf then."
"...WHAT?!"
"Wait, Girlfriend?"

"Blue!"

An unfamiliar voice cut through the conversation; distracting Melvin to shift his attention from the gang to the new arrivals. Trailing behind the first student to arrive, the rest of the girls were trotting slightly to catch up to Blue. (Who had run off from the rest of the group when she heard noises from the moat.) There seemed to be five more Grimwood girls making their way over to them, and an octopus taking up the rear.

'That Octopus looks a bit too proper to be a student.' Melvin reasoned with himself. There was a chance that they could also be a student, but Sibella did mention that the girls had a chaperone. Maybe the Octopus was the responsible 'adult' for them?

It was hard to know just what was really that outrageous anymore.

"Geez, you shouldn't be running away from the group, Blue! You left us behind! That was irresponsible of you as one of the older girls. You need to be a better role model for the others."

"I heard someone in 'MY' moat, so I had to go look. And it's the teachers with some pack of humans. Ugh." Blue defended herself, huffing in the new girls direction.

"That is not a good reason to just wander away from the Chaperones!" Shaking her head, Melvin took in the appearance of the new girl bickering with Blue. She was taller then both him and Blue, though not much on him. But that was surprising to the boy. Since while he was kinda lanky, he was also tall for a guy his age. So, seeing a girl taller then him was not common. Though her hat certainly was helping to add to her height.

Topping her off, she was wearing a tan khaki bucket hat. A day or so ago, Melvin would have been more surprised. But the teen girl was totally covered in bandages, like the mummy teacher Tanis. Blond hair hung from under the hat, with a floral scrunchy holding it together at the edge of her hair. Her eyes were covered by a pair of thin black shades. About her shoulders was an off white t-shirt with some type of black stone hanging on a cord that sat around her neck. Sitting on top of that, was a sleeveless black long vest. But it didn't have any buttons, and also the pockets sat about waist level instead of being breast pockets like a normal vest. It looked comfortable what ever it was, but Melvin had no clue what that sort of thing was called. She was wearing tan slacks, and some type of simple black flat shoes.

Clinging to her arm, was a young monster girl. At least... Melvin figured she was another student. To him, she looked like a person shaped bush. Made up of twigs, leaves and brambles, contained in a cute floral printed Poncho and sandals. The poncho had two little tassels; which as soon as he caught her eye, he learned what they were for. Spooked once she saw him looking at her, she flipped up a connected hood and tugged on those tassels. Compacting the hood around her head. Tucking herself behind the taller girls leg to peer back at Melvin from the little window created by tugging the cords around her face.

"What did Blue do now?"

A new voice chimed in. Wandering up from behind the bandaged teen, was another student. Blinking, Melvin shook his head at the newest arrival. Shivers running down his spine.

'Yep, that's a monster. Totally a ghoul girl. This is fine, totally fine.' He was trying not to be that freaked out, but there a difference between a girl walking covered in bandages and a literal skeleton walking around. Breathing deeply in and out, trying to center himself. Just another student. 'She is just another teen girl student. Calm down Me. Fish person, another mummy, walking bush and now a skeleton. Perfectly normal. At least normal for this school.'

Putting the fact that she was a skeleton aside, the boy tried to focus on the more normal-ish things about her. Sitting on top of her skull was a brown newsboy styled cap, with a bright blue bow attached to it. She had hair, shortly cropped around the back and sides of her head. It hung a bit above her literal shoulder blades. Thin shoulder straps attached a frilly, off the shoulder top that was cinched to her practically non-existent waist. (He knew a few girls from high school that would kill to have a waist that at least that is how it sounded when he overheard from girls when they had their yearly examinations for gym.)

It was covered in several reddish and brown smudges that wasn't helping Melvin's imagination, but he hoped there was a logical explanation for them. Continuing from her thin waist, seemed to be a sort of apron. It had slots for things and a bunch of pockets, but not sure what it would be used for. But maybe it made sense where ever the girls had been traveling back from. On her legs was some acid washed jeans, with several rips about and two large holes at the kneecaps. And she was wearing an actual pair of red converse shoes, that had taken a bit of a beating and had a few small holes about them from wear and tear.

"Hey, it looks like everyone is here now! Let's go have some breakfast!" Spoke up Shaggy, who must have finally noticed the added people by the moat.

"Food is good and all, but a bunch of us are still wet." Daphne brought up a slight complication. Making hand gestures to her still wet clothing. "Not sure we should be standing around being soaked, let alone sit down for a meal like this. We all can't be Miss Sibella and magic ourselves dry. No offence, kinda jealous really. It would save so much time, but! Not sure if you ladies are ok with being drenched, but us 'humans' need to get dry before we get sick. It's not like the sun is out to help dry us off."

The sky was grim and grey as it had been the whole time both the gang and Melvin had been there so far. Not really like a sunny day, that would help against the cold from being soaked in the water from the moat. Drying clothes quicker then the current overcast sky.

"Not to worry my friends." Sibella stepped up and clapped her hands together.

"Matches?"
