Emancipation
They do all your menial chores,
But you never know they're there.
They never question their appointed tasks,
Their dedication beyond compare.
...
Your regard towards your servants,
May be different from theirs to you.
Especially since they are but slaves,
Yes I'm afraid it's true.
...
They never ask for payment,
Or even gratitude.
They'll keep on writing dutifully,
Regardless of your mood.
...
They do the dishes, do the laundry,
They clean the kitchen sink.
They never ever cease their work,
They never stop and blink.
...
But for all the blackhearts,
You're in for a surprise.
For those of us with conscience will,
Ensure the house elf sun does rise.
...
So I do urge all of you,
To help make a system that is fair.
To do this join the Society for
the Protection of Elvish Welfare.
