Chapter 19

A few days later…

Adisa had woken up early in the morning, as she wanted to work on assignments that were due the first week that school started again. She was going to go to the library to finish the assignments. Packing up her things, she went to her trunk to grab the clothes that she was going to wear for today. The one thing that she enjoyed about winter break was that she didn't have to wear her uniform. She loved the idea of not having to choose what to wear everyday but some days it was just tough to be in the same thing everyday. Stepping out of the Gryffindor common room, she began to walk to the library before she heard someone calling her name. Turning around she saw George walking towards her. She felt her face blush a little before she looked down. "Hi George." She whispered as she looked back up at him.

"Hey Di, where you off to?" He asked.

"Library to work on some assignments." She said as he made a face at her.

"But it's winter break! There's no need to worry about your assignments right now!" He said.

"You're definitely speaking to the wrong person about that." Adisa told him.

"That's true. Anyways why don't we just go to the Quidditch Pitch? The Hufflepuff Quidditch team and the Gryffindor Quidditch team have sent up a friendly game. Professor McGonagall gave us permission to play on the pitch." George told her.

"I don't know. I've got a lot that I need to do." Adisa said.

"Come on, Di. It's only one day and Rosella and the girls will be there too! I hear Cedric's got a plan to get Rosella to play. Plus you get to root for your favorite Beater." George said winking at her as she blushed.

"Oh all right but this is just so you leave me alone." Adisa told him as he smirked at her.

"You know you don't want me to leave you alone." He said as he wrapped his arms around her shoulder.

And it was true. The two had feelings for each other that they thought the other didn't know about. But unbeknownst to them, it was really obvious that they liked each other. They both had feelings for each other since the first day that they had gotten to Hogwarts during their first year. They had first landed eyes on each other before they had gotten on the train. They were saying goodbye to their parents and just so happen to link eyes as they were stepping on to the train. Neither of the two imagined being sorted into the same house. Nor did they imagine becoming friends like they were now five years later.

George always saw Adisa as a beautiful girl, who he could actually see marrying. Not that he ever thought about marriage. But she was someone who he could bring home to meet his mum and dad and they would approve of her. He could remember sitting next to her during their first class during their first year. He remembered the tiny girl with the brown hair that was always left down hiding her face. She was so shy then and now she had come out of her shell a bit. That was thanks in part to Rosella but mainly Fred and him. George would like to take all the credit in that. He couldn't see himself wanting to date anyone else though if he had to be quite honest. He was just so afraid to ask her out in fear that she would reject him because she didn't see him as boyfriend material.

To Adisa there was just something about George and his personality that had always been so attractive to her. Since the very first day that she had laid eyes on him at the Kings Cross Station, she had some sort of feeling about him. It was like she wanted to know what he was like. Eventually they had gotten sorted into the same house and had classes together. In their classes together, Adisa was a little hesitant when it came to wanting to know him because he was quite the opposite of her. Where she was more studious and shy, he was more outgoing and outspoken. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind and he hadn't been since they had introduced themselves to each other.

But she quite enjoyed that they were opposites because that was what allowed them to become great friends. Since their first year at Hogwarts, her feelings for George had gotten stronger each year. There was no denying that she had feelings for him. She wanted to tell him exactly how she felt but she was scared that he wouldn't feel the same way either. It was the same way that Rosella felt about Cedric. Adisa just didn't want to risk telling George how she felt and then having to hear that he didn't feel the same way.

The two made their way towards the Quidditch Pitch where both Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Quidditch teams were. Adisa saw Rosella sitting on what would have been the grass but was rather snow. She was bundled in a sweatshirt that had to be twice her size. One could barely make out Rosella's body from the sweatshirt. Adisa assumed that Cedric had given her the sweatshirt so that she wouldn't get cold. George looked at Adisa and watched as she shivered a little. He wrapped the jacket that he had on over her shoulder as she blushed. "Looked like you could use that more than me." He said as she nodded her head, "Hey everyone!"

Everyone greeted Adisa and George with a wave and quick hello before they were getting ready. "I thought you said Rosella was going to be playing?" She asked looking at George.

"I guess Cedric couldn't change her mind." George said.

"You got that right. I thought you weren't fond of Cedric either?" Adisa asked giving him a questioning look.

"I'm still upset that their team beat us but I can be civil with him for Ella's sake." George said.

Rosella stood up to give her two friends a hug. "Fancy seeing you here, Di." She said.

"George convinced me to come. Said Cedric had convinced you to play." Adisa said.

"He tried but I told him I wouldn't speak to him anymore if he kept asking." She said as Adisa laughed.

"I certainly agree with Cedric though. You should play." George said.

"No way. That wouldn't be fair to our team. I'm not that great." Rosella said.

"I'd beg to differ on that. She's a great Seeker." Cedric said as Rosella blushed.

"No I'm not. Not as great as Cedric." Rosella said.

"Well now we wouldn't know unless you played." George said as he gave her a little nudge.

"I think I'm okay. Besides Cedric's already going to play the position." She said.

"I don't mind sitting this one out if you want to play." Cedric said.

"Really it's okay." She said.

"How about we play two games and we'll switch out positions?" George asked.

"I can agree to that." Cedric said.

"I don't." Rosella said as Adisa chuckled.

"Yeah well you're not the captain of the team." George said as Cedric chuckled.

"Fine." Rosella muttered as they laughed at her.

The four friends walked over to the rest of the group and got ready to start playing. Hailey and Rosella were going to sit up in the stands with the rest of the people who had decided to watch. Cedric looked at Rosella and wrapped his arms around her. "You okay? Warm enough?" He asked her.

"Mhmm. Thanks for lending me your sweatshirt, Ced." She said.

"Yeah no problem. I'll see you after this first game." He said kissing her cheek.

"Okay. Have fun." Rosella told him as she wrapped her arms around him.

"I will." He said as he kissed her head before he went back to get ready to play the first scrimmage game. Adisa, Hailey, and Rosella had gone up to the stands to sit and watch the game. Noel had decided to spend some time with Draco since it was winter break. Adisa looked at the two girls before asking, "How was the Yule Ball for you two?"

"It was good." Hailey said as Rosella nodded her head.

"You must have had a ton of fun going with Harry, Ella." Adisa said.

"I did and he was such a gentleman about everything. Though he said he had quite the encounter with Cedric." Rosella said as both girls looked at her.

"What do you mean?" Hailey asked.

"Well I guess when I had gone to look for Di, Cedric approached Harry to ask if Harry had feelings for me." Rosella said.

"Now where would he get such an idea?" Adisa asked.

"He assumed Harry had asked me to attend the Yule Ball with him because he had feelings for me." Rosella explained.

"Interesting. What did Harry tell him?" Adisa asked.

"Tell him the truth. That he didn't have feelings for me and that he saw me as a sister." Rosella said as the teams starting playing.

"And how'd Ced take it?" Hailey asked.

"He apologized to Harry." Rosella said as the two girls nodded their head.

The girls watched on as the game went on. Rosella cheered for both teams since she had friends on both sides. Hailey was cheering for Mark, whom she was dating and Rosella could confirm that because Cedric had told her. The perks of him being roommates with Mark meant that they shared a lot with each other. Rosella could have sworn that Joel, Mark, and Cedric were girls trapped in guys' bodies sometimes with the way that they told each other everything. Adisa cheered for George mainly, which didn't surprise Rosella at all. She was still waiting for George to ask Adisa out. The two would certainly make a cute couple. She would have to talk to George about that later.

About an hour later, the game had been over when Harry had gotten the Golden Snitch. Cedric didn't feel bitter about it. He had won the game fair and square. He looked over at Harry and stuck his hand out, "Good game, Potter."

"Thanks, Cedric. Same to you!" Harry said shaking Cedric's hand.

"All right enough chitchat. Let's get Rosella down here so she can play." George said as Cedric and Harry laughed.

After the second Quidditch Scrimmage game…

Harry looked at Rosella and gave her a fake cry as she laughed before he hugged her. "Good game, Ella. I must say you are quite an excellent Seeker." He said.

"Oh please! You let me win!" She said.

"I did not! Clearly you had me beat fair and square." Harry told her as George appeared next to them.

"Quite the show you put on there, Ella." George said.

"Please it was nothing better than when Harry or Cedric play." Rosella told them.

"You were bloody brilliant, Ella! That's all I've got to say. You should have tried out for the team! Though I don't know how Cedric would have taken to you stealing his position." George said.

"Well thank you for the compliments. I definitely had fun playing." Rosella said.

"You have to come play with us more often." Harry said as George nodded his head.

"I'll think about it." Rosella said, "But on to a different subject, George."

"This would probably be my cue to leave." Harry said as he said a quick goodbye to the two.

"When are you going to ask Adisa out?" She asked George.

"I've been thinking about doing it today. Think she'll say yeah?" George asked.

"Bloody hell of course she would say yeah. You two are so cute together!" Rosella told him.

"Well we'll have to see what she says. What about Diggory and you? What's going on with you two?" He asked.

"Nothing. We're merely enjoying each other's company." She said.

"Whatever you say, Rose." He said as he saw Cedric approaching them, "I'll talk to you later though. Going to go ask Adisa the question that I've been meaning to ask her."

"Good luck!" She said giving him a quick hug.

Cedric wrapped his arms from behind her as she squealed. He kissed her cheek before he whispered, "Great job out there, Rose."

"Thank you, Ced." She said turning to face him.

"You know you never said anything after I confessed that I had feelings for you at the Yule Ball." He said as they both thought about that night.

Rosella had tried to find the right words to say. She knew that she wanted to tell him exactly how she felt. But she wanted to make sure that he wasn't with Cho. Fortunately for her, he had told her that Cho and him had decided to be friends only. She looked up at him and said, "I know and I'm sorry for taking so long to say anything but I do have feelings for you too. I've had feelings for you since the very first day that we ran into each other in the hallway."

"Why didn't you say anything before?" He asked.

"Well I was scared you wouldn't feel the same way. Then you were dating Cho and I didn't want to hurt Cho at all." She said as Cedric looked at her with a smile.

"That's why I adore you because you're such a sweet caring person." He said as she blushed, "But I have to tell you that I've felt the same way since that day too. I guess I was just scared to lose you as a friend if you didn't see me that way."

"Oh Cedric, you would never lose me. It's like we've always told each other, we'll always be best friends no matter what." Rosella told him.

"Well then may I ask?" He asked as she nodded her head, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

She simply nodded her head as she couldn't find the words to say or she didn't know if she would be able to speak. He smiled at her before leaning down to kiss her on the lips. The two heard screaming coming from all around them as they both looked to see their group of friends cheering for them. Rosella blushed and hid her face against Cedric's chest. Cedric blushed a little too before he laughed and held her closer to him. To him, this was what felt right.
