Edward's POV.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Twilight series.
It's been almost a year since Bella's change, and Alice has decided it was time for a shopping trip. Of course, I wasn't leaving Bella for a second, forcing Alice to grudgingly agree to letting me join them – especially when my angel had started insisting on it as well.
So here we were, trailing behind Alice in the middle of a large, packed mall. Bella was having little trouble with her thirst. I smiled to myself, overflowing with pride and happiness. Yet, I still held her close despite the wonderful control she was exhibiting.
The thoughts of every man we passed – married, dating, or neither – involved my Bella in some way or the other. Every time an especially upsetting one came up, I would pull her closer. In an effort to calm my nerve, she would touch my cheek or rest her head on my shoulder temporarily. Unfortunately, after the second time, it lost the intended effect.
I groaned in relief as Alice led us into a very expensive and nearly empty store. Of course, that did little to stop the several males who followed, pretending to browse. To top it off, the occasional passer-by would glance in and notice Bella. At least Alice was sending what seemed like a never-ending supply of male employees away. Letting Bella come was a mistake – one I would not soon be repeating.
We followed Alice through the store, catching the clothes she occasionally flung at us.
"Meet you in the dressing room?" Bella whispered to me, her arms full of clothes. I nodded and kept a careful eye on her progress as I began grabbing the flying clothes.
When my arms were full Alice skipped toward the dressing rooms. I ran, a bit faster than I probably should have, and blocked the doorway. "I can help my wife, thank you very much," I sneered. She smirked at me and 'tsk-ed' mentally at my planned course of action as I walked off toward Bella's stall.
I made my way in, dumped my armful of clothes, and took her half naked body into my arms.
"You have no idea what those men were thinking of you," I murmured between the many kisses I was placing along her stunning upper body.
"Show me," she purred. I used my teeth to rip of the thin panties as my hands worked furiously to release me from my jeans and boxers.
Bella was already ready for me, and I briefly registered Alice thinking of finding more clothes for us, as I settled my love onto the soft pile we had created.
"Quickie," Bella sighed.
I entered her carefully and began to thrust as forcefully and quietly as possible. To aid in her release, I reached down to rub at her clit.
Bella came in a matter of minutes and I followed shortly after.
"I love you," I said, kissing her cheek as I stood to get dressed.
At that moment, Alice came bounding through the door and tossed more clothes on top of Bella's still-naked body.
"She loves you, too," Alice said to me. Turning back to Bella, she couldn't conceal her excitement. "So what do you think of the first outfit?" I chuckled and Bella's face turned to embarrassment and shock.
"She loved it," I responded for her as Bella worked to compose her face. Alice turned and stared at me, shooting daggers through her eyes. The phrase 'if looks could kill' came to mind and I chuckled at the thought. One small finger pointed at the door, directing me to get out of the stall, and I did so promptly.
Bella worked to remove her shield and I was able to pick up on one thought – Save me if I'm not out in ten minutes.
I laughed louder than before as I walked out of the dressing room door. Perhaps shopping wasn't too bad.
Okay, this wasn't meant to be a one-shot when I had the idea. It was just going to the mall and being frustrated that all the guys liked Bella, but I started writing and it just came out that way. I hope you don't mind too much! ;)
