It was just a number.
A simple number.

But to Tess Tyler.
It was o much more.

It was the number of letters that were stored in box underneath her bed.
Sent by him.
One everyday.

It was the number of emails in her inbox.
Sent by him.
One everyday.

For 52 days she had received a txt message.
From him.
One every day.
They always said the same thing:
I miss you x

These things he'd done.
For the past 52 days
Had made her smile.

There had been no mail.
She checked four times.

There had been no emails.
She checked six times.

There had been no text message.
She threw her phone at a wall.

24 hours and nothing.

Was it possible
Had he forgotten?

Then it happened.

That was the day that made her give up.
That made her die inside.

Her phone rang
It was Shane.

"There's been an accident!" he said. "Nate…he…he's dead!"

The phone dropped to the floor.
She fell beside it.

She wanted the ground to swallow her up.
She wanted the world to end.

On the 53rd day something happened.
