Right Here in My Arms

Sakura paced around the Uchiha manor waiting for Sasuke to arrive. He finally came back to the village after a final battle with Naruto. He had begged Tsunade for forgiveness and to be let back into the village. She told him fine, but he'd be stripped of his ninja status until further notice, and he would be on constant watch.

Sakura heard a noise and her eyes lit up when Sasuke walked into the room. She ran over to him and held him tight, happy that he was alive. Her smile was bright and she let a few tears of happiness go as Sasuke held her back. "I thought you'd never come back."

"I didn't want to but Naruto finally knocked some sense into me," Sasuke said. "That and I missed you, I'm sorry for leaving you and I'm sorry for the way I left you."

Sakura looked up at him. "What do you mean?"

He looked down at her, moving aside a few stray strands of pink hair from her face. "I should of never left you, I missed you the most out of everyone. Everyday that I was away, I couldn't stop thinking about you."

"Sasuke…"

"I promise I won't leave you again."

Sakura broke down and buried her face in his chest as the tears streamed down her face. "I-I don't know what to say."

Sasuke whispered in her ear. "You don't need to say anything, I love you Sakura."

Her knees gave out and she fell to the floor. He kneeled down and held her close. "Sasuke, I never thought…"

"I know, I pretended to hate you, and it hurt me everyday." Sasuke said. "But now that I'm back, I want to be with you."

Sakura shook her head. "You broke my heart that night and I swore no matter what I wouldn't let it happen again. I told myself that you would never get close to me again, that I-I would never date you if you ever came back. And yet here you are confessing to me and my heart's telling me to forget all that."

Sasuke held her even closer. "I won't hurt you again Sakura, I promise."

Sakura shook her head again and stood up. "No, I can't stay. I-I need to go."

Sasuke stood up. "Sakura, please stay…"

"I shouldn't of come here," She said moving towards the front door.

Sasuke grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a kiss, holding her tight against him. He pulled away slightly and wiped away her tears. "Please stay Sakura, I love you."

"I don't want to be hurt again, Sasuke."

He leaned his forehead against hers. "You won't be Sakura, I promise."

He kissed her again and this time she let herself be dragged away to the bedroom. She pulled away. "No I can't…"

Sasuke pulled her close. "That's not what I'm getting at, I just want you here with me tonight." He carried her to the bed and laid her down before lying down next to her. He put his arms around her and held her close. "You belong here with me Sakura, You belong right here in my arms."

This is my first SasuSaku fic and I got the idea of it after listening to "Right Here in My Arms" by H.I.M
