Shot Five: Favors

Set: When Ric goes to Sonny to ask him not to marry Claudia

He hates coming to Sonny, hates to beg for favors but here he is. Sonny thinks it's all a ploy, a game. "Why don't you marry her?"

There is no answer. Ric can't explain how his heart races when she is near, how she makes him want to be a better person. His brother doesn't see how all she wants is to be loved by a father that hates her. He doesn't see how marriage would just stifle her, flicker and burn out, not enough air to breathe.

"That's not going to happen." Ric won't let it happen to her.
