A one-shot dealing with kindergarden Shane, a pair of scissors, and his over active imagination.

Crafts

You know the day is extra special when Miss. Tibby let's us finally use the scissors that is always hidden behind the boxes of crayons and stacks of bright paper. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the cold metal that my older brother always gets to use. My mommy retricted me from using them because she thinks I have an over active imagination. Dad just thinks I'll run around with them.
But they're wrong.
Today I get to use them in class and there's nothing that mommy and dad can say about it.
After a long and exhausting hour of recess (where I was promoted to one of the Castle's Knights before The Queen banished me because I couldn't hold in my sneeze) we all sat in our tables where two of my greatest friends, Matt and Kayla, sat with me.

A lot of guys make fun of me cause I have a friend that's a girl. I think they're stupid. Corse they don't know how great it is to have a friend that's a girl. Thier mommies are extra nice to you and they always pack Kayla and extra cup of fudge pudding so I can have. As for cooties, my mom says they don't exsist. I half believe her. I do think girls have cooties, I just think Kayla is a-munne to them.

"Shane Gray?"

That's me! I proudly march up to Miss. Tibby who grants me the privilege of finally holding such a holy armour.

"Shane, don't you dare run. Take nice and steady steps like the tortoise, remember the story?" Miss. Tibby asked me.

I stuck out my chest and gave a big nod, "Yes!"

I slowly turned around, exaggerating the steadyness Miss. Tibby asked of me. Of course to me, Miss. Tibby is the only true Queen of the Playground, that Mitchie Torres is nothing but a cupcake princess.

I finally reached my table joining the Knights and Knightette of the Rectangle Table. We joined in our silver scissors and awaited the paper that will soon meet it's doom.

"Friends,"I announced, "We will soon go into battle may the good lord bless our armour and our skill so that the craft the Good Miss. Queen Tibby will be impressed with our slayings."

"Amen," Kayla finished.

"Amen," Matt followed.

I turned to look at the four and final member of the Rectangle Table, Rodney, a boy with thick glasses and freckles splashed all over his face.

"For Queen Tibby!" Rodney quietly assure.

Behind me I felt a kick on my blue plastic chair. I whipped around to find cupcake princess Mitchie looking more than furious at us.

"I'm Queen!" She crossed her arms, the rest of her table glared at us.

Rodney smirked at her, "There is no one fairer than Queen Tibby!"

"For Tibby!" We, the Knights And Knightette of the Rectangle table, chanted.

Mitchie puffed her cheeks out, mad that we had christened our new Queen. She then glared at me with an evil snicker.

"Shane is a poop head!" She yelled.

The whole class erupted into laughter as I felt my face redden. She is an evil Queen.

Miss. Queen Tibby told us to calm down as she pass around the contrustion paper to slay. I got a green one and I pouted up to Miss. Queen Tibby.

"Can I have red?" I asked her royal highness.

She shrugged, "I just gave the last red to Mitchie."

I looked behind Miss. Queen Tibby and Mitchie held up a bright red paper, sticking her tongue at me. I glared at her as her whole tabled laughed at me.

I, Knight Grey, will break the Honorary Conduct of a Good Knight and plan my revenge on Mitchie the Evil Cupcake.

I grabbed my weapon of choice and scooted over to Mitchie. I raise my scissors and slashed a taunting pigtail of Mitchies.

Victory.

"SHANE GREY!" Miss. Queen Tibby hollered.

I spent the rest of the day in the corner.

Miss. Tibby, my harsh but fair Queen.
