A/N
Truth be told, this was originally adapted from the poem Itsy Bitsy Spider. That being said, I admittedly stretched a few issues to make the poem work. Guess that's poetic licence for you.
Edit (2009/01/25): Corrected "Crawler" to "Corpser" and fixed the spelling of "Lambent."
Corpser
A large and monstrous creature,
Climbed up the Locusts' hole.
No rocks or mines could stop the beast,
It focussed on its goal.
…
Bullets, mortars, RPGs,
The Corpser did not care.
It gazed upon the surface world,
Its might beyond compare.
…
Gears and Ravens, Centaurs mighty,
It prevailed against its foes.
To Locust, a beacon of destruction,
To humans, one of woe.
…
Yet judgment came down from the skies,
Namely Dawn's bright Hammer.
It felt the pain of mankind's fury,
Knew something was the matter.
…
The Corpser screeched, the Corpser cried,
Yet Dawn it could not best.
It fell back down the Locust hole,
Into Sera's dark depths.
…
Down through the earth, down through the Hollow,
Its fall would never cease
Until it reached the golden liquid,
From momentum released.
…
The Lambancy began its course,
The Corpser stood revived.
More powerful than ever before,
It looked back to the skies.
…
Destruction was its only purpose,
And it would not refrain.
So now the mighty Lambent Corpser,
Climbed up the hole again.
