Disclaimer - of course I don't own power rangers! My writing would mean most of the characters were either really romantic or very angry and evil all the time! That does not balance out well, trust me! :)

Jason's Nightmare

He had failed. The darkness swirled around him, cloaking it from view, but he knew he had failed; he didn't need to see it to know.

The darkness, still drifting, shifted, silent voices cursing him, taunting him.

He deserved it. He could have done it, after all. He was the leader, the responsible one. He could have succeeded. He could have saved him.

Now the fog clears. In front of him, the still body of his friend lies, the Power abandoning the lifeless teen.

Just like you abandoned him…

…the voices mocked him.

"Just like you abandoned me!"

And there it was, the one voice he feared most.

The boy turns, runs, but can't get away, his dead friend's voice playing in his mind.

Then finally, thankfully awake.

Screaming.

A/N: Okay, I know how horribly short and pathetic this is right now, but bear with me, okay? I'll either extend from this or incorporate it into a longer story, really. Just... what do you think of this in itself? Is it okay? Is there anything specific I can do to improve it?

Please tell me.
