Sinestro Corps II

(Rise of the Fate Corps!)

Yellow ring constructs rampaged across the landscape as Sinestro attacked. Various coloured ring users shrived to contain the damage, while Fate Testarossa confronted him. With her greater speed she zipped in close, evading his blasts before clamping her hand over his ring.

"What are you...!" Sinestro cursed even as he fought to control his ring.

Fate knew from working with Green Lantern-chan that the different rings responded to different emotions, and that yellow was fear. Sinestro used it to terrify his enemies, but fear was a different thing to her.

There was a questioning from the ring, a feeling of curiosity. Even as she wrestled with Sinestro for control, Fate tried to send to the ring, or the consciousness behind the ring, her concept of fear.

Fear watched over you. Fear warned you of danger. Fear, in it's own way, wanted to protect, not hurt... it was your best friend, even if you couldn't always listen to it.

The fear entity weighed her attitude against Sinestro's 'fear as a dominating weapon' attitude, and made it's choice. The ring seemed to just FLOW off Sinestro's finger, then reformed around Fate's.

"What!" Sinestro yelped, "No!"

Then he promptly dropped like a stone, his ring no longer holding him aloft. Fate caught him, even as she gazed in wonder at the ring. What would happen now, she wondered?

Some months later...

"All right folks, let's charge em up!" the young man said as the group of yellow ring wielders raised their rings to charge.

"In blackest day, in endless night,
We turn our fears into our light!
Let all who wish to do what's right,
Join HER Order! Make Tomorrow BRIGHT!"

"It's not MY order! It's just the Yellow Corps! Green Lantern-chan, tell them!"

"All fear Fate-chan!" Green Lantern cheered.

"You're not helping..." Fate sighed.

Notes: Last bit BLATANTLY ripped off from Shadow Crystal Mage, who is writing a great Green Lantern/Nanoha fusion called Takamachi Nanoha of 2814. You can find it on ffnet, it's a fun read. He's mentioned that Fate Testarossa will eventually get the yellow ring, so I thought I'd take a stab at it.

This story is also going on hold for the time being. Sadly I have really lost interest in the Green Lantern titles since the Nu 52 started, and I'm running out of good crossovers to do. If I get inspired again, I'll update, but we'll see.
