TO ALL – I know almost nothing about the real rules of Chess, so gimme a break. First Contestshipping fic, hope it's reasonable.

Pokeshipping readers of mine, READ THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM. ^.^

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon. If I did, things would be MUCH different.

"Check," the girl with chestnut hair announced proudly.

The boy of chartreuse hair simply rolled his eyes, flipped his bright-green locks, and used his Queen game piece that had gone unnoticed by the brunette to eliminate the threat to his King.

A look of disappointment crossed her once-proud face.

"Come on, May. Throw a hard ball at me, for once," the boy said, flipping his hair…again.

"Shut up, cabbage-head," May said angrily. She used her Rook and placed it carefully on a black square situated near his King, once again. "Check."

Drew smirked at her obvious obliviousness to the Bishop situated in perfect alignment to the Rook piece. He delicately took his Bishop in his fingertips, reached back to the Rook, and neatly knocked it over.

"You've got to be kidding me," May mumbled to herself. Drew's grin only grew seeing her apparent discomfort at losing to him in not only contests, but a mere game of Chess.

May was desperate. She couldn't lose to him; the gloating over ribbons was bad enough. Studying the scenario in front of her, she carefully took her Queen piece and placed it on B6, seeing Drew's King situated in the corner.

Drew rolled his eyes and sighed with apparent boredom. "This is pathetic," he said. He promptly took his own Queen and shifted it across the board and promptly tipped her white King piece.

May stared, dumbfounded. She wasn't even sure if that was legal!

"Care to play again?" Drew asked, a smirk planted on his face.

"No," she replied, and helped clean up the pieces, "I don't see why you like this game. It's stupid."

"Because I like watching you lose at something other than contests," he replied.

She glared angrily, shooting metaphorical daggers into his eyes. If only, she thought to herself.

"Try again," she hissed.

"Because I like being awesome at everything I do?"

She began stalking towards him, fists balled, and her face red with anger. Drew chuckled.

"Strike two," she said through clenched teeth.

Closer still. Drew backed off as she came closer, moving towards the wall.

"Because I like making you mad?" he asked.

By this time she had him backed into a corner, her fist high in the air, aiming towards his face.

"You want the honest answer?" he asked her. She nodded slowly. Taking her fist and placing it back by her side, he leaned against the corner behind him.

"Because I think you're cute when you're mad," he said, grinning in satisfaction. She remained equally angry and red, but as she stared him down, her eyes twinkled. Looking about her and noticing the corner she'd backed him into, she smiled evilly.

She forcefully grabbed his neck and pulled their heads together. Their lips crashed together powerfully, driven with lust, rage and desire. In the heated vent of their emotions, their tongues battled for dominance of each other's mouths, and their hands ran ferociously along each other's bodies.

After what seemed like ages, they pulled apart. Panting, their breath escaped in gasps in each other's embrace.

Looking at Drew, May grinned knowingly and whispered in his ear, "Checkmate."

OKAY. I'm REALLY sorry to those who were reading my New Years fanfic, and that I haven't updated since. I will get to it eventually, but I've been super busy with midterms and projects galore, and haven't had a jolt of inspiration to write since. I decided to write this one to ensure everyone that I hadn't died. ^^

I know ZERO about Chess, so don't flame me if it makes no sense to you or I don't play by the rules or whatever. I tried as best I could to make it seem like a believable match.

I also wrote this out of severe boredom and a sudden desire to have a Contestshipping fic.
