Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars.
So it has come to pass. Two there shall be, one to embody the power, the other to crave it. You have performed well, my former apprentice. Betrayal is the nature of the Sith. However, it was never for anything as pitiful as this.
As Vader slowly walked over to the railings to throw Emperor Palpatine to his doom, the Sith Lord screamed, pretending that he was shocked.
Yes, all is as I have foreseen. I knew I would be betrayed, that you would rise up against me. Still, no Sith has betrayed another for something as pitiful as love. Lord Vader, you disappoint me. Oh well, at least I can do one final thing.
Bolts of lighting shot from the wrinkly fingers of the aged Emperor. Coursing through the suit, the lightning short circuited the life support system. Whether or not Palpatine lived, it mattered not. Vader would die.
Yes, give into your anger, your hate. I tried to make you kill your son, then I tried when you failed. Your anger for hurting the son of you and Padme, your hatred, makes you powerful, no matter how much of a shadow of your former self you are. Pity you will not live to head my empire. You could have crushed this rebellion and made yourself the ruler of the galaxy.
Palpatine could sense it. Vader was about to throw him. His energy was almost exhausted, and the Sith lord doubted that Vader would last the next few minutes. Air rushed passed him, and he smiled. Faking a loud scream, he chuckled inwardly.
Now, for my final act.
Building up the Force inside his body, Palpatine concentrated on one central point. Then, he released the energy, making his body explode violently. Not one hair remained. The Emperor's body was incinerated, every Force forsaken bit of it.
As Vader lay dying, one thought passed through his mind: It's over.
