We are all drowning in lies.

Slowly and surely, we drown.

Be it the lie started out carelessly, it works its way into something that controls us. Our very being.

We're controlled by the lies we tell.

--

Mitchie.

Mitchie says she loves him. Loves to be with him. Loves the child that is growing inside of her.

She says it's his.

She lies.

--

Nate.

Nate knows the baby growing inside of his wife is not his. He knows it. He says he's happy. Ecstatic even.

He says that he's proud to become a father.

He lies.

--

Shane.

Shane knows that baby growing inside of his best friend's wife is his. He knows. He knows that lusting after her, taking her, and cheating with her is wrong. He knows. And when his wife wraps her pale little arms around him, he says that he is content.

She whispers she loves him, and he whispers "I love you too."

He lies.

--

Tess.

Tess can see it all. She knows the truth. The truth about her husband, and the truth about his unfaithfulness. She knows.

But does she tell?

No.

Because she lies too.

--

All the lies that they weave, only lead to more. It can't be stopped.

When Mitchie comes to Shane for that feeling only he can give her, Nate knows.

And when Shane runs to Mitchie for the lust only she can satisfy, Tess knows.

But what do they do?

Nothing.

Because they're all liars.

Still not sure where on earth this idea came from, but once an idea gets in my head, it stays there haunting me until I get it out.

So here it is.

Eh, it's crappy, I know. But it was thereā€¦so I had to write it. Haha.

Oh leave a review anyway, you know you want to.
