Hardison carried the Rembrandt carefully. He had passed Parker back and forth several times in the last few minutes as they were moving the paintings. Every time he saw her it nagged at his brain. He knew as soon as they were done with this job they would be going their separate ways. They had done what they had set out to do. Now, the job was done. Now was the time to leave. But, he couldn't leave just yet. Not until he found out.

Parker walked past him again. It was now or never. "Parker."

The blonde seemed not to hear him and continued on so he called her name again, louder. "Parker!"

"Huh?" She turned to face him with a rather blank expression on her face.

"Umm…" Okay, he was pretty good with words normally so why were they failing him now? "I've been meaning to ask you about something."

"Ummhmm." She said as she stood still in front of him, her expression still blank.

"The other night, outside of the vault," He started. "You, um, kissed me,"

"Oh, it was part of the job." She said and started to turn away from him.

"Yeah, I know." Hardison spoke quickly to keep her standing in front of him. "But, I really enjoyed it and I wanted to know if you did as well or if it was, you know, just part of the job."

Hardison could tell that he had made her uncomfortable as her eyes dropped to the floor and she seemed to draw back. He knew that she wasn't keen with small talk or personal feelings.

Before Parker could say anything, Elliot walked past and gruffly said, "You need to hurry up with that painting. We don't have all day."

Hardison knew that Parker was a person of few words so he wasn't expecting much, but he was expecting something. After a few more moments of silence he decided, as much as he wanted an answer, he wasn't going to get one. He turned to follow after Elliot, but stopped when he heard a soft, "I enjoyed it, too." He looked back at the blonde and smiled as she turned to grab another piece of art.
