As They Run
Pairing: ShadowXAmy
Summary: They take one look at me and they run away. As they run, I notice that she doesn't run away. She stays...
They don't realize how much I've done for them. I mean, if it was up to me, I wouldn't even give a damn about them. But Maria...told me to save the people. Give them a chance to be happy. I promised I would-and I did.
I saved the planet, that Maria loves so much, twice.
Yet...they treat me like scum.
As I drag my feet on this damn road, the ignorant people just stopped what they were doing and glared at me, anger and fear was clearly written on their disgusting faces. The frightened children huddled up with their mothers and/or fathers. Just as I passed some of the humans, I hear them whispering things about me.
Evil.
Criminal.
Cold hearted.
Monster.
The only comment that hurt me was "monster". The rest of the comments, I paid no attention to. I stopped walking, angry and hurt (although, I won't let them know that) at the comment. I growled and glared at some of the humans. They all gasped, feared that I was going to do something dangerous and evil. Fearing for their lives, they ran away from me.
As the humans clear out, my eyes catch a familiar pink hedgehog. She was standing a couple of yards away from me. Her eyes were shut softly, her hands were entwined, and a soft, sweet smile was on her face. I gave her a confused glare.
"Shadow, I know you're not evil," She whispered softly, slowly opening her eyes.
"I know you're not a criminal." Her hands untwine and rests at her sides.
"I know you're not cold hearted." She starts walking towards me now. I still glare at her, wondering why she's even here? Even though I'm trying to look unamused, my heart starts to beat very fast now. How can she make me feel like this? She finally looks deep into my eyes, as if searching for something.
"And," She slowly wraps her hand with mine. Normally if somebody else held my hand (besides Maria), I would knock them out.
"I know you're not a monster." I could only blush as our hands were now connected. Amy smiled at my reaction. She gazed into my eyes, and I tried to avoid her eye contact.
"I know you're far from being a monster," She giggled, softly.
The End!!!
Yep! It's another one of my weird, short, and pointless stories. Yay!
