Drabble #51

Summary: Based off of a personal experience.

Kakashi sighs internally.

Another fight with Sasuke.

"I'm so sorry about this Kakashi. I don't mean for this to become a habit."

"No worries, Sakura." The Copy Ninja's eyes crease gently. "You know I'm always here for you."

The medic hugs him tightly and asks, "What did I do to deserve a friend like you?"

"Probably the same thing I did." The jounin returns her embrace and smiles weakly beneath his mask.

She says it because she thinks she's lucky.

He says it because this must be some sort of punishment – because all they would ever be is just friends.
