The pull on my heart was hard to bare. All the blood that had been spilt, the lives that had been lost amounted to nothing when my thoughts wondered to her.

She was the burn flame of my passion, the light in the dark. My candle, burning every so bright. She was the key to the everlasting lamp, and the key to my heart.

Those days I wasted chasing Denna seemed so naïve, when the one who capture my heart was waiting for me exactly where I left her.

Auri, the girl without a name.

She was mine as I was hers. I didn't know when or how she stole away my love, but I knew she kept it hidden in her pocket, right under the star dust. She had a mind like no other. She fascinated me in ways I can not explain. I thought many a time of take her in, but the thought of locking her away in the Crockery killed me. She in some ways remind me of Master Elodin. They were both insane, their minds like a leaf turning in the wind. They were the song I played day after day in the forest. The ever changing wind I wanted to capture but it was forever out of my reach.

Auri could make me do anything. Just like Elodin.

I had faith.

I took a leap of faith, a step over the edge of the roof.

I can still see his face as he stood over me.

'Congratulations,' he said. 'That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.' His expression was a mix of awe and disbelief. 'Ever.'

For a time I would of done anything to know the name of the wind, I even did stepped off a roof, twenty feet high. My love for Auri was like that. Not anyone could understand the beauty within her.

'I brought you some honey wine.'

She took hold of it with both hands. ' Why, this is a princely gift.' she peered down at it wonderingly.

' think of all the tipsy bees.' she pulled out the cork and sniffed it. ' what's in it?'

' Sunlight.' I said. ' And a smile, and a question.'

She held the mouth of the bottle up to her ear and grinned at me.

' The question is at the bottom,' I said.

' A heavy question,'

She was wise, as she was mad. I wonder about what drove her down to the 'Underthing' as she affectionately called it. It is clear to me, she was a noble child. She had a rare delicate touch and the way she spoke left me wondering who Auri really was. Who was the mystery girl that had my heart in her pocket?

AN. So it turns out I hate Denna or whatever her name is this week. She pretty she can sing, she is unattainable and I hate her. She just so boring…but I love everyone else in the book stupid really but that's just me.
