Talking about geometry on summer break!? I'm insane. But, I had an idea about -nonexistant- 2-sided polygons, so I decided to write! (er, type?)

As you can see, Nana has appeared in every EL fanfic I've made yes? That's because she's my favorite character.

Disclaimer: Don't own EL.

A square consists of 4 sides.

Take one side away, and you only have 3.

A triangle consists of 3 sides.

Take one side away, and you only have 2.

But there is no such thing as a 2-sided polygon.

It's impossible.

But, according on how you arrange them, you can form parallel lines.

Nana and Lucy were very much alike to parallel lines, looking at it that way.

Lucy was a killer diclonius, bent on revenge for the humans that tormented her.

Nana was a diclonius also, but more timid and unwilling to kill.

They were parallel opposites.

They only had 2 things in common:

1. They were diclonii.

2. They loved each other.

Lucy kept it to herself.

No way in hell would she admit to being in love with someone like Nana.

She was a fucking ruthless killer!

How would that make her look?

Lucy hated the fact that she loved someone completely opposite from her.

Nana felt just a little differently.

Nana knew full well what Lucy was.

And she could never forget what she had done to her.

She was reminded every time one of her prosthetics accidentally popped off.

Nana loved Lucy, and it scared her.

She knew what Lucy could do better than anyone.

And at the same time, it invigorated her.

Just the thought of loving someone so powerful - being so damn close to them, as well - made her feel wonderful, yet guilty.

It wasn't like Nana.

It wasn't like Lucy.

They were nothing but awkward, parallel lines in a world of regular polygons.
