(A/N) Taking a break from the Twilight stuff. I finished reading the Harry Potter series and it must be the best series in the entire world – seriously! When I read the last book, all my hatred for Snape seemed to melt away forever and I actually pitied him. I mean, as a child he and his own mother were abused by his father and he was bullied by James throughout his stay at Hogwarts, then he lost his only friend. I was listening to the song 'Something' by The Beatles (best band in the world) but I was listening to the Across The Universe version, I definitely suggest you people to listen and think of Snape. It's so sad, if you think about his story…
Something in the way she
moves, Somewhere in her smile she knows, You're
asking me will my love grow, Something in the way she knows,
Attracts me like no other lover.
Something in the way
she woos me.
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe
in how.
That I don't need
no other lover.
Something in her style that shows me.
I don't
want to leave her now,
You know I believe in how.
I don't know, I don't know.
You
stick around now, it may show,
I don't know, I don't
know.
And all I have to do
is think of her.
Something in the things she shows me.
I don't
want to leave her now.
You know I believe in how.
In the autumn of 1977 Lily Evans and Severus Snape were sitting beneath the beech tree that was rooted to a spot near the lake; Lily turned her head to glance at Severus who was reading his defense against the dark arts book and said, 'Sev?' Severus turned his head to look at her. 'Do you take a fancy to anyone?'
Something about the question made Severus's insides jump, 'Yes.' He said finally.
'Oooh, who is it?' Said Lily.
'And why should I tell you?' Said Severus as he closed his book and turned his body around to face her properly.
'Because,' Said Lily. 'I'm your best friend and I want to know.'
'I'm not telling you.' Said Severus as he instantly regretted saying yes. 'Classified information.'
'Please Sev. Come on, even just a couple of hints?' Said Lily as she moved closer to Severus and begged on both knees.
'Don't look at me like that,' Said Severus quickly as he felt numb all over and his usually pale cheeks have turned a faint colour of pink. 'Okay – I will – just…give me some space, okay?'
Lily smiled at him and sat patiently beside Severus.
'She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen,' Said Severus as he stared at Lily. 'And she is so perfect and she doesn't deserve to have me…' He said sadly. 'But I still hope.' He looked down and took out another book from his bag. 'You need to catch up on your potions.'
'Aww… Sev,' Said Lily and she jumped on him and give him a hug. Severus hoped that she wouldn't feel how fast his heart was beating. 'We should go find that girl and you should tell her exactly what you told me.'
'No.' Said Severus as he shook his head. 'I don't think that's necessary.I already told her…'
'And?' Said Lily. 'What did she say?'
'She hugged me.' Said Severus.
'And?'
'That's all.'
'Well then you deserve better.' Said Lily as she snatched Severus's book away from him. 'Seriously Sev…' She muttered as she flipped a couple of paged filled with his handwriting. 'The half-blood prince?'
Severus scowled and grabbed his book back, 'At least I'm not the pure-blood idiot.'
Lily laughed, 'Yeah, at least not.' She looked around and stopped smiling. 'Let's go.'
'Why?' Said Severus.
'The pure-blood idiot and his cronies are here.'
'Hey Snivellus!' Said James. Severus made a move to grab his wand but Lily grabbed his hand and whispered, 'No, let's just leave, okay? I don't want trouble.'
Severus nodded and followed her back into the castle.
