He grinned at Rose as she entered the console room. She smiled back, looking preoccupied.

"Do you think we could visit Mum? It's been a while since we visited," she asked as she sat down on the seat.

"Of course we can," he grinned again, pressed a few buttons and sat down on the seat as well. She scooted closer to him and he kissed her forehead. After awhile, Rose shifted and looked at the floor.

"Something wrong, Rose?" She mumbled a reply he couldn't make out, frowning. He kissed her temple and soothed her hair.

"Rose?"

"I'm late."

The last of the Time Lords fainted.
