Disclaimer: I don't own JONAS.
So, I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out. I hope you are too! And much love to Fabled Diamond for the Beta! Oh, and don't let the pairings fool you. I hated Angie, too. This is very much an anti-Angie fic.
Wherever they went, interviews, web casts, even during Q and A sessions, Kevin and Joe always got asked "What's it like to fall in love and marry your high school sweetheart?" Joe usually let Kevin answer those questions.
Of course, it's only because Joe wanted to let Kevin have some of the glory. After all, Kevin's wife didn't win WILF of the year.
(Kevin's wife hadn't cheated on him with the orchestra instructor, either.)
Even still, Joe knew that he and Angie still made a much better couple than Kevin and Macy.
Kevin and Macy's wedding only had 75 attendee's, and Joe and Angie's had over 200.
(Even if Kevin and Macy only invited 75 people.)
Kevin and Macy were the worst celebrity doubles team in history, and Joe and Angie had won the annual cup every year since they joined.
(Even though Kevin and Macy still shared a celebratory kiss afterward)
Kevin and Macy never did joint photo shoots, and Joe and Angie were on the cover of OK! two months in a row.
(Even though Kevin and Macy had more than 10,000 paparazzi shots.)
And every time they kissed, Macy had to stand on her tip toes and Kevin had to lean down.
Joe and Angelina fit perfectly together.
(And Joe was sure that he and Angelina had just as bright smiles on their faces when they finally broke apart.)
And Joe knew for a fact that Angelina was a much better wife than Macy would ever be.
Because even after she got over JONAS, Macy rarely went a day without causing Kevin some form of physical injury.
Angelina never laid a finger on him unless he begged her to.
Although it's been five years since the wedding, Kevin stills feel obligated to attend all of Macy's games.
Angie doesn't even tell Joe when her clarinet concerts are.
Macy still makes signs and screams like a fan girl at every JONAS concert.
Angelina says that's degrading to herself as a musician to behave like that. She's too busy at practice anyway.
Sometimes, he admits, he wishes he had someone to talk to when Kevin presses '1' on his speed dial to consult with Macy whether or not a summer tour would work with her Wimbledon schedule.
But Joe doesn't mind that much. He doesn't want some female holding him back. Or down. Or just simply holding him and letting him cry into her lap when their dog died.
(Angelina gave him her therapists' number, which was just as good.)
Joe knew he was the lucky one when it came to girls, even if Macy always kissed Kevin's bruises better, or Kevin acts as Macy's personal cheerleader at every match or tournament, or neither of them cared how awkward they looked kissing, or if Macy and Kevin were probably thinking of each other every single moment of every day, or if Macy looked at Kevin like he was the most incredible thing that could have ever happened to her and Angelina barely even raised her Gucci sunglasses to glance in his direction.
Joe didn't answer when people asked him what it was like to marry the love of your life, because Kevin deserved a chance to shine too.
Besides, he wouldn't really know.
After all, he had married Angelina. Not Stella.
Show some love and review? :D I'm thinking about doing a follow up, Stella's POV. It's pretty short, I know. But Fabled Diamond said she would never forgive me if I ruined it.
"This is too amazing to be longer" - Fabled Diamond.
I love her. =] She's a bossy boss dipped in sauce.
