A/N: I just recently joined the Katekyo Hitman Reborn fandom earlier this summer. I've read so many 1827 fics yet I still feel unsatisfied. SO! This is my contribution to the community! When I first started out this fandom I was perplexed on my decision---either 6927 or 1827. I thought both were cute. But really, 1827 just dominated my heart! I can't ever get enough! Happy reading! It's just a short cute two-chapter drabble.
"Flowers?" Tsuna said meekly.
"Yes." answered Hibari, aloofly, "This is what couples do."
Currently, they were at a café, sitting at the table, their cake and tea in front of them. Slow piano music was playing the background. The café, in general was very bright. They had taken the table in the corner next to the big window. The situation they were engaged in was hilariously cute. Hibari, held a bouquet of yellow day lilies thrusted towards Tsuna in a weird angle. As if he was handling his tonfa.
Tsuna sat across from him, blushing madly, stuttering incoherently. What was a normal person to do in this situation? Was he supposed to accept them with a smile? Tsuna decided, that yes, that would be the nice thing to do. If he wasn't as embarrassed as he was right then and there he would've done it right away. He could hear the waitress in the back kitchen giggling at them.
Hibari frowned, fingers almost crushing the stems of the day lilies. The day lilies were wrapped in a white lacy wrapper and a yellow ribbon held it all together. He couldn't remember Hibari buying them. Where did they come from? He did not see Hibari carrying them when they arrived in the café…Well, Hibari always did have the talent to hide his tonfas and bring them out of nowhere. He could probably hide flowers too…
Wait…Hibari Kyouya went to the flower store to buy flowers? Tsuna could not contain his thoughts to himself. He could imagine, Hibari, standing in the middle of the shop, glaring at the flowers, deciding which one would be best for Tsuna. Tsuna's face broke out into a silly smile. It started off as a soft giggle then it bursted into a fit of laughter.
"What is so funny, herbivore?" said Hibari, narrowing his eyes, hand still around the bouquet awkwardly.
"N-Nothing." Tsuna stopped laughing immediately, hands over the lower part of his face to hide his smile. Tsuna smiled and gently took the flowers from Hibari's clenched fist, "T-Thank you," Tsuna said, smiling gently, "It was very thoughtful of you."
Hibari nodded and smirked, "The florist told me they are called 'hemerocallis.' I thought you'd like them."
Tsuna smiled and placed the flowers on his lap. Tsuna's dainty fingers stroked at the yellow petals. He wondered what Hibari was thinking while he bought these. He could imagine the torment these flowers had put him through. Hibari-san was just so thoughtful and sweet to him. Hemerocallis flowers. Wait. W-What? Tsuna's smile faltered and meekly he said, "H-Hibari-san…Did you say hemerocallis?"
"Yes. I did. Why?" Hibari said, eyebrows furrowing just slightly.
"H-Hibari-san…" Tsuna took a deep breath, "hemerocallis are flowers for mothers---or more correctly…pregnant mothers."
Hibari's face turned murderous, it wasn't directed at Tsuna though. It was as if Hibari was deciding who to bite to death. "Really."
"Y-Yes…" Tsuna agreed but then added quickly, "But it's ok! I like them! That's all that matters!" To emphasize this, Tsuna gathered the bouquet and took a big whiff of the flowers, blushing.
Hibari nodded, happy with the outcome.
A/N: This is only a two-chapter one-shot! Next chapter is Hibari's visit to the flower shop before he gave the flowers to Tsuna! xDDD
