Chapter twenty-two: Nothing Clever

"Nee-san!" Naruto yelled wrapping his arms around Kagome with a grin on his face. He had just come back from Nami no Kuni [Land of the Waves].

'That's his 'nee-san'. I see.' Kakashi observed the two his eye twitching and his whole body tensed up when she looked over in his direction.

"Kakashi-kun!" She happily said slipping out of Naruto's grasp and clutched onto the jounin rubbing her face all over his chest purring like a cat.

"Is it that time in the afternoon already? I have to go submit this mission report- right away." He dumped the girl into Sasuke's arms and fled.

"Kakashi-sensei was acting different when you were around Higurashi just what did you do to him?!" Sakura started turning back to see that Kagome, Naruto and her beloved Sasuke-kun were already gone. "I didn't even get the chance to ask Sasuke-kun if he wanted to train with me!" She whined stomping her foot. Then brightened up he must have gone to train by himself to get stronger so he could prove himself to her and win her heart! He was so thoughtful. Sakura sighed she was going to find Ino to tell that pig all about it of his heroic deeds.

"…How did you get that?" Sasuke asked once he was dragged into Naruto's apartment and forced to sit at the table, which had a giant clay jug of sake [rice wine] resting there with three little cups already set out.

"Some dancing guy who was singing loudly tossed it at me he said it was delicious." She had already informed Sango and Miroku she was staying over at Naruto's, his spare futon already in place in his living room. The atmosphere was tense what had happened on their mission?

"It's sake," Sasuke stated bluntly recognizing the container. Then he had an idea. "Let's see who can drink the most and-"

"Why do you have to be here for this?" Naruto crossed his arms glaring at Sasuke before looking away, the moment they had shared on the bridge... after that- what he had told him…"Bah."

"We're going to see who can drink the most sake?" He had caught Kagome's interest.

"That sounds so stupid-"

"Baka, you didn't let me explain like I was saying before- whomever wins they get to make to make the other two people do any one thing that they want."

"So you're saying if I won I could get you to run down the village streets naked screaming 'I'm a baka! And Uzumaki Naruto is the number one shinobi!' I could do that?!" He asked grinning. He was coming up with even more embarrassing situations he could force the Uchiha to do.

"Mou I guess you could, but that means I'd also have to do it to."

"Sasuke are you in-? Or are you going to get up and leave because you're a bibiri-kun [scaredy cat] because you know that I'll win."

"Dobe, I was the one who made this game." Was his retort, 'it's going to be fun when he realizes that I won and he has to do whatever I want him to!'

"I say let's fill our glasses already," Kagome pulled over the jug after handing them each a sheet of paper with their name at the top along with a pencil. Pouring herself a cup she threw her head back and drank it down cringing afterwards then drew a line on her sheet. It wasn't as good as she thought it would be. "Every time you drink one cup you make a tally so we can keep track."

"Let's do this!" Naruto gulped down his first glass also cringing at the liquid's taste. He marked down his first cup and looked over to Sasuke, who was smirking. 'That bastard is already on his second cup! Argh I'm not going to let him beat me!'

"So whad happened on yer, er, mizhion [mission]?" She giggled at the rosy cheeks the two boys had gotten she felt all warm and fuzzy on the inside. All of them were on their four cup and already the marks on the page they were making were all over the page. Sasuke managed to keep his a little neater than Naruto's but not by much.

"Wez had to escort dis old man and we left the – konoha and were attacked by two chuunin shinobi that bastard acted all cool and saved everybody and I got poisoned in my hand so I took it out with a kunai and promised, like you do, I promised that- uh that I wasn't going to be afraid and run." Naruto gulped down another burning glass pouring himself another cup and drinking that one down also.

"Baka. The old guy's name was Tazuna-san don't you bother to know their names?" Sasuke slurred his comment slightly drinking another three glasses as Naruto continued to tell the story getting more and more incoherent. He had gotten to the part when they were trapped inside Haku's Makyou Hyoushou [Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors] and how Sasuke had saved him. 'Why did by body move on its own accord-? What were those memories that flashed in front of my eyes when I thought I was going to die…some of them were of his family but most of them were of Kagome and Naruto- how sad she would be if she was told that out had died. Then I found my body blocking Naruto's…and told him-I…told him-'

"Sasuke wuz in mah armz and he I thinking [thought] he wuz deading [dying] and hez said, I tells myself dat I wouldn't let me-self die before I killed my broder [brother] and then hes all like protect Kagome cuz I cudn't and don't die…" Naruto sobbed drinking down more sake straight from the jug it had stopped tasting funny at least. "Den I punched Haku and brokened [broke] his mask. I thought Haku wus a girl but turns hourt [out] he was a boy so pruddy [pretty]….then Zabuszza wusz all Haku'z just a tool and den he changed his viewz…then lots of people came then…Inari came late…dey runz way and ...tada…..bridge finished…baibai."

Sasuke's face had turned even more pinkish- but it wasn't from the alcohol. That was right he did tell Naruto to protect Kagome. While he was trapped in the mirrors thinking he was going to die. He had begun to understand and realize the feelings he had for her since childhood were still there. His face turned even redder when he noticed that Kagome was facing him, her eyes to looking deep into his and he picked up the sake jug started gulping it down like Naruto had- forgetting that Naruto's saliva had touched the same spot he was drinking out of. He couldn't even make eye contact with her right now. Rice wine spilled all over the front of his clothes but he didn't care.

"Mooou…" She slurred tossing Naruto into his bed after he had passed out. First she peeled off his wet clothes and tossed them into the laundry basket leaving him in his boxers. Then she started to drag Sasuke over to the futon but then an intoxicated grin spread across her face and she also pulled off his wet clothes leaving him in his plain black boxers placing him on Naruto's bed.

Kagome stumbled back into the kitchen area and couldn't help but laugh at the mess. She thought of something else when she tripped over Sasuke's bag and began to dig through Sasuke's backpack and changed into his trademark clothes. With her clothes in hand she made her way back into Naruto's room and dressed Naruto in her clothes and Sasuke in Naruto's clothes then wrapped their arms around each other and tangled their legs together . She spun out of his room and collapsed, half on half off the futon in the living room immediately passing out.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED YOU BASTARD GET OUT WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE?!" Naruto's shrieks had awoken her up.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Sasuke gruffly responded then there was the thump of when his body hit the floor from Naruto successfully succeeding in getting Sasuke away from him.

"SCREW THAT! HOW COME YOU ARE WEARING MY CLOTHES?! GIVE THEM BACK! WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?"

"DOBE STOP YELLING!" He groaned. His head felt like someone was slowly splitting it open with a blunt Kunai and a rock. So he tore of the tainted clothes and threw them at Naruto's face in hopes that would keep him quiet. Sasuke lay on the ground upside down and watched Kagome stumble into the room wearing his clothes. She looked kind of…cute…wearing his oversized t-shirt and tekko [armbands]…he huffed as he turned his head away from her.

"Nee-san what's going on?" The blonde asked curling up into a ball horrified he looked in Sasuke's direction what had all of them done-?! He was never drinking again.

"Wakaranai [I don't know]," She muttered while holding her head. None of them cared or knew who had won the game. She caught sight of the clock on Naruto's nightstand and groaned she needed to get to her team's training grounds. "I'm going to be late. I'll see you guys later!"

"She's still wearing your clothes Sasuke." Naruto commented while dragging himself to his kitchen for a cup of milk, hoping it would make him feel better.

"Uughnn." Sasuke grunted when Kagome slammed the door shut when she left. He was still in the same position, unable to think any clearer, while the others were already moving about.

'I knew it,' Neji thought to himself when he saw Kagome running to meet up with her team. 'She's wearing clothes that have the Uchiha emblem on it. Tch. You'd think she'd get ones that actually fit her.'

"Sou desu ka? [Is that so?] Sharingan? Well I suppose I could train this other kid. Sasuke has unlocked the power of the sharingan now…" Kakashi looked disinterested. 'How is it possible for there to be another survivor-?'

"Like I said before this sharingan isn't normal, there are three uncharacteristic dots in the center of the commas. I've been reading scrolls that were collected from the Uchiha's house after the massacre but so far any of my findings have leaded me to a dead end," Sarutobi informed puffing on his pipe. "Those dots are truly worrisome. It might just be a birth defect so they could be nothing but I highly doubt that."

"So where did you find this kid?" He slouched in the seat, his fingers itching to take out Icha Icha paradise book out of pure reflex.

"Kakashi-san I think you already know the answer to your question, you were the one who found this kid."

It took a moment to sink in he sat up in his seat. "You mean-?" His breathing got faster and his palms started to get sweaty he hoped he was wrong. The name that came out of the Hokage's mouth he really, really hoped it wasn't-

"Higurashi, Kagome." Sarutobi stood up in his seat to look at the jounin who had fallen out of the chair. His entire body was spread out and twitching on the floor. "Kakashi-san?"

'Iie! It was!' He stood up straight brushing off imaginary dust. "Hai, Hokage-sama I just uh… dropped something …. with great importance on the floor."

"Of course, then you will have no problem at all."

"Ha-hai."

"Excellent you know that you only have one week and can start training her and Sasuke tomorrow after spending time with your squad. That is all you are dismissed go meet up with your team." Sarutobi grinned even at his old age it was the little things in life that amused him. It appeared this top jounin was scared of the little girl. Once Kakashi had left Sarutobi let out the chuckles that he had been holding back.

BREAK

"I can't believe the great almighty head of the Hyuuga clan-Hiashi-sama is personally taking it upon himself to beating me up every single day." Sango groaned dragging her body through the apartment door and collapsing at the table.

"You're usually back later. What happened to Hinata-chan training with you?" Kagome asked heating up leftovers from when Miroku cooked yesterday. The extreme headache she had this morning was pretty much gone from her skull after she drank a mixture of herbs she had brewed together.

"He said that his daughter needs to focus on more important matters- he said my jyuken [Gentle fist] style was very strong when I was able to land a blow. But overall it was horrible and that he was better than anyone else to teach me Hyuuga style taijutsu, the most basic style that everyone from the Hyuuga clan can perform. According to him his youngest daughter is better at it than me." She placed her head on the cool table surface. She was still getting used to the increased weights she asked for some time last week. They were making it that much harder for her. It had also been a week since she began going to the Hyuuga compound after daily training with her team, to receive more training. It was strange how the head of the household was treating her. She suspected it was because he was testing her to see who he would marry her off to. Perhaps it would be someone from the main branch. Sango really hoped he didn't want her to marry him… that would be gross. 'He's like three times my age, not only that but he already has two children. Even if both of them are younger than me…that's just- yuck.'

"This genjutsu Ebisu-sensei's friend is teaching me is not easy to master. I'm so drained," Miroku said emerging from his room, dropping his body down at the table his arms having random spasms.

"Mew…" Kirara was perched on his shoulder and also plopped down her ears drooping.

"Oh and Ebisu-sensei is trying to teach Kirara how to clone herself. He thinks that she can do it. You should see her, she's almost got it." He added.

"Ebisu-sensei should know by now that I'm not going to be at our regular squad meetings for the next week. Hiashi-sama sent out one of his clan's messenger's to deliver the news today."

"Mou sensei just keeps trying to get me execute the Suiton Suijinheki [Water Bullet] seriously what's with everyone getting beaten up?" Kagome placed two dishes in front of her friends.

"It's probably because the chuunin exams selections are in a week." Miroku answered struggling to use his arms to pick up his chopsticks. 'That's why I put the weights back on Kagome and myself a couple days ago and increased the weight on them.'

"Urghhh…." Sango protested she had forgotten all about the exams with everything going on, it had snuck up on her.

Their attention was diverted to Naruto swinging the front door open. He only had a mild throbbing in his head from the morning. "Oi Nee-san, Kakashi-sensei told me to tell you that you are to meet him at the Hokage mountain area after you're done training with your group tomorrow."

"Huh? Why?" Kagome was curious, as to why he wanted her to go there. 'Maybe he's finally given into my charms… ahaha imagine.'

"Didn't say," Naruto said sitting down at the table piling food onto a random plate and eating. "Do you know him? He asked Teme to meet him there too."

"Hai! Kakashi-kun's the one who brought me to your village when I was younger. He's my savior!" If she could convince Naruto, the trickster that taught her everything she knew. That she had a 'crush' on Kakashi then everyone else would definitely believe her.

BREAK

"You'll both be disappointed to know that there isn't much that I can teach you about the sharingan," Kakashi informed the two once they had relocated from the Hokage Mountain since it had started to rain. They sat around the table in Sasuke's empty house. "However the Hokage-sama has asked me to tell you what I do know. For the most part you're going to have to discover things on your own."

"Hn, Kagome why are you here for this?" Sasuke finally asked that had been bugging him.

"That's because Kakashi-kun wanted to find a way for me to be close to him today," She grinned when she saw facial expressions on both males.

"Iie, that's was not the reason why you're here." Kakashi corrected her. His arms were crossed protectively over his chest.

"Actually it's because I have it." Kagome scratched the back of her head sheepishly that was right she had forgotten to tell Sasuke about what she had found out, they were too busy getting drunk.

"Kagome can you activate it?" 'Blue eyes aren't a trait from any Uchiha family member. They always had dark eyes and there were never any reports of a member of the clan going astray. Well one that wasn't immediately dispatched.'

"Un, I will do it if that's what you want." Her eyes changed and she stuck her tongue out sending a smile in Sasuke's direction.

Kakashi then got Sasuke to activate his sharingan. 'The Hokage-sama was right, what is with those white dots…' Kakashi shrugged his shoulders taking note that Kagome had three tomoes in one eye and two in the other whereas Sasuke had only two tomoes in each of his eyes. 'She's stronger than Sasuke?' The tomoes told all. "You can deactivate them now."

"When did you find out you had them?" He had discovered his in the land of the waves when Haku was about to kill Naruto.

"On my first mission, my group and I were fighting youkai. It was after I pushed Ebisu-sensei out of the way of this one youkai and he's like that's the sharingan in your eyes!" 'But what about all those other times when my eyes felt funny when I was younger? And when I was reading that scroll with Naru-kun and he told me that my eyes were red…?'

"The sharingan only appears in the eyes after something stressful happens," The jounin sensei told the two children. "The first well-known fact about it is the ability to memorize any technique apart from another clan's kekkei genkai. Once you've seen a technique you can modify it but you have to have the proper skills to execute the attack."

"What do you mean by that?" Kagome asked while preparing the topping ingredients for hiyashi chuka [cold noodles] currently she was slicing up a tomato.

"Hmm how can I explain this to you so it would make sense? Let's say you saw a taijutsu attack and you copied the move and used it on your opponent. It would cause your body more strain than the person you took the technique from, since your body hasn't received the proper training for it."

"How did you trick Zabuza into thinking you could see the future?"

"Ah that's a type of hypnosis. I merely suggested actions and thoughts to him through eye contact. The sharingan allowed me to mimic his movements," Kakashi tilted his head up to the side. "That's really all there is to it, other than training. The sharingan can see through attacks but if your body can't keep up then it's not going to help."

"Dinner is ready." She brought the food to the table while Sasuke got plates and chopsticks.

"That reminds me, Kagome-kun for the next week you will be meeting at team seven's training grounds. The Hokage has already talked to your sensei and he agrees that would be for the best. Starting tomorrow both of you will be working on improving your speed and with that your stamina," Kakashi clapped his hands together in appreciation and got up from the table. "Don't be late." His eye smiled when Sasuke grumbled under his breath as he left.

"You're the only one that shows up three hours later with a lame excuse."

"Ne, is Kakashi-kun always late? I heard Naru-kun complaining." 'Kakashi-kun ate really fast. I didn't even notice him pulling down his mask to eat.'

"Un, by a couple of hours at least." Sasuke muttered biting into a tomato along with a mouthful of noodles on his chopsticks.

"Then why do you go to your training area the same time every day?"

"Hn, so that I can rub it in the dobe's face that I got there first." It was the sad truth.

"…" Kagome rolled her eyes of course that was the only reason.

"Well isn't this exciting." Kagome said sitting on the ground next to Naruto who had started to doze off. 'Dare I say… that I would rather be practicing that Suiton Suijinheki jutsu-?…It has gotten slightly better from all the practicing but I still end up choking on a majority of the water.'

"Higurashi you still haven't told me why you're here," Sakura loudly declared knowing that Sasuke would hear her then tell the girl to leave because she didn't belong. "Don't you have your own team to bother and why are you copying Sasuke-kun's clothes by wearing the exact same thing as him? Where did you get it?" 'She better tell me where she got it because I also want to have a Sasuke-kun outfit!'

"Hn, give me my clothes back."

"Iie! I like them," Kagome let out a pretend sigh with a grin on her face then pretended to get ready to lift the hem of the shirt up. "Well if you want them back so badly."

"…Keep them." Sasuke said turned his head away suppressing the blush that wanted to heat up his face.

"Ewww! You actually want to wear his clothes?! How come you never wear mine, I bet mine are more comfortable than his and the color is so much nicer!" Naruto pouted.

"No way am I wearing your clothes no matter how comfy they look. Not unless you regularly start washing your laundry. All your clothing smells rancid."

"And you're telling me that Teme's doesn't?!"

"Nope! They smell good. Anyways Miroku and Kirara are the only ones still being trained by our team's sensei. I could go visit them but Ebisu-sensei would just make me come back here or practice that horrible jutsu-"

"Your closet ecchi da sensei is teaching you jutsus?!" Naruto whined cutting Kagome off and angering Sakura. "How come Kakashi-sensei isn't teaching us any jutsus, that's not fair."

"That's because you still haven't got a good grasp of chakra control. Why waste my time teaching you a jutsu that would only consume a large amount of your chakra up since you haven't mastered the ability yet?" Kakashi asked appearing in the clearing with a small wave. "Yo, the road of life took me down an unknown path this morning."

"Sonna-no uso-yo [That's a lie]! Stop lying to us with a straight face! Give it a rest!" Sakura yelled pointing her finger in her sensei's direction. 'That will show him!'

"Sakura I want you to use your chakra to walk on the river. Naruto I want you continue working on the tree climbing exercise, you are still wasting too much chakra. Once you think you're ready…you can begin doing the same exercise Sakura is doing. Get started," Kakashi instructed before turning to Sasuke and Kagome. "You two come with me."

"What's the exercise that's going to make us gain speed? When will you be teaching us how to hypnotize another person?" Sasuke asked his hands shoved into his pockets. He was eager to learn what Kakashi had to offer.

"The exercise is a surprise. Also I never said that I would teach you that skill. If you don't like my answers you can always go do the chakra control training exercises if you want."

"Iie." Sasuke bit out glaring at the back of the silver headed shinobi.

"Okay. Kuchiyose no jutsu [Summoning Technique]!" Two dogs emerged out of the smoke, one of them was a pug and the dog had dark ring around his eyes and the kanji symbol for shinobi on its forehead. The two dogs had vests on with the henohenomoheji [scarecrow face] displayed on their backs. "This is Pakkun and Bisuke. You two are going to run away from these two shinobi who are going to try and catch you do whatever it takes to evade them. Sasuke you're chasing after Pakkun and Kagome you're going after Bisuke."

"Uchiha," The deep voice of Pakkun grunted panting as he walked over to the boy he was assigned to. "If you succeed in catching me, I'll let you touch the pads of my paws as a reward."

"Hn?" Sasuke squatted down to the dog's level glaring at it. 'Kakashi-sensei expects me to catch this… thing?'

"Yo kid," Bisuke greeted walking up to the girl sniffing the hand she held out for him to smell. "You smell good." The hand that he hand sniffed went to lightly pat him on the head and scratched him behind the ears. His right hind foot started thumping at the sensation.

"It's soft and bouncy," Pakkun waved his paw in front of the confused boy's face. "I lied it's actually super ultra soft and bouncy!"

"What happens after we catch them?" Kagome asked the dogs looked kawaii with their tiny hitai-ites. Bisuke whined when Kagome stood up removing her fingers from behind his ears.

"Bring them back to me. It won't be easy as you think these are my kawaii shinobi-dogs," Kakashi pulled out his treasured orange book. "Bisuke, Pakkun depart!"

Bisuke panted as he darted every which way he could trying to shake the girl from his trail. It was if she could see where he was at all times sliding his small body he hid himself in the roots of the tree giving a doggy grin when she ran right past him. Shaking his body backwards he growled when he got stuck and struggled to get out. 'Too many doggy treats…I need to shed some pounds.'

"Got you!" Kagome grinned carefully pulling the small dog out from the roots. Holding him under the arms she watched as he half heartedly struggled wriggling around in her hand. She held him to her chest and ran back to where Kakashi was. It was easy for her to sense where the dog was.

'That was barely ten minutes. Bisuke must have made it too easy for her.' Kakashi thought as his eye looked up to the girl holding his ninken to her chest. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"

"Man I was having the best nap ever. What do you need done scarecrow?" This dog had a forehead protector going across his forehead, whiskers on his face and like the other two summons he had a vest with the henohenomoheji.

"Kagome this is Guruko," Kakashi introduced before looking at the bigger ninken. "Guruko you are to run away from her and do everything you can to keep her from catching you."

By the end of the day Kakashi had to summon up one more of his shinobi dogs after Kagome caught Pakkun. This summons name was Uhei. He wore bandages around his neck, was twice the size of Guruko but was still very fast and had a lot more stamina. Naruto had also moved onto trying to use his chakra to walk on water. Deeming himself ready for it, but he just ended up splashing around in the river annoying an already soaked Sakura. While Sasuke had finally caught Pakkun and was now running after Bisuke. Kakashi could tell Pakkun had clawed at his face and thoroughly gnawed at the boy's hands and legs.

"Itai." Sasuke complained under his breath as he walked home he had spent most of his time looking for that pug faced mutt instead of chasing after it. The other one that had rings under its eyes that one liked hiding too 'baka dogs' he snorted.

"Urushi?" Kakashi's eyebrow rose. Out of his pack of eight ninken Urushi had white fur and was the most devious, meanest and one of the quickest.

"Pssh ya ya this gaki caught me but it took her the entire day. Hurry up and finish untying me!" Urushi said once the rope around his mouth had been cut. The dog wiggled around on his side his paws were still tied together.

"I would if you just stay still!" Kagome ordered slicing the rope with a kunai then she lay on the ground with her arms and legs spread out she was tired. Her hands, arms, legs and stomach were bloody with multiple teeth marks and scratch marks.

"That ends training for the day. Uhei~!" Kakashi called out putting his orange book away. He didn't think that either of them would make it past his forth ninken. His eye narrowed as his summon jumped at him so he could be cradled in his arms. "You're not a puppy anymore. How'd it go Sasuke?"

"Just fine." Sasuke ground out while catching his breath. At least he could tell that his speed had improved.

"Well now you know what it's like to be the one who is chasing my ninken. Tomorrow will be your turn to be the ones getting chased."

"You won't be able to get away from me little gaki." Urushi growled laughing sinisterly before disappearing in a puff of smoke. Making Kagome blow a raspberry in the area Urushi had been occupying.

"Kakashi-sensei this exercise is a lot harder than the tree climbing one," Sakura complained sinking into the river again. Once her eyes landed on Sasuke though energy burst through her exhausted body. "I mean it's simple and I can feel that improved so much already! Unlike Naruto who keeps on splashing me. I think he should go back to the tree exercise."

"Pleh I don't care what you think I'm going to master this before you." Naruto said with his hair dripping wet he had been staying out late every night just so he could practice the technique. One time at the academy he had a small crush on the pink haired girl but after her outburst, all feelings for her vanished.

BREAK

"Good morning Sakura-chan!" Naruto greeted while sending a glare at Sasuke, that bastard was pissing him off. Why did he get to go off and do something special while he had to learn that stupid water exercise?

"Where's Higurashi? She's late!" 'Now I can rub that fact in her face, she'll never beat me.'

"She said something about showing up when Kakashi-sensei did." Naruto shrugged his shoulders.

"Sasuke-kun! What happened to your arms? Why are both bandaged up like that? Are you hurt? Are you alright? Do you need me to take a look at them? They could get infected you know- they say the care of another person helps you heal faster." Sakura asked how could she not have noticed them before?!

"Hn, it's nothing." The bandaged were covering all the numerous teeth marks, while the other ninken latched onto his clothing to capture him, Urushi caught him by sinking his teeth into his arms.

Three hours later Kakashi appeared. "Hey guys! There was this ladder in the middle of the street and I couldn't walk under it so I had to take the long route to get here."

"Did that include taking a stroll through the forest?"

"YO-Eh? Where did Higurashi's voice come from?" Sakura asked she was just about to give Kakashi a piece of her mind for always showing up late. She looked all over the place, before spotting the bandaged arms and legs wrapped around her sensei.

"What were you doing in the forest Nee-san?" Naruto question as she peaked her head over Kakashi's shoulder.

"Training- stupid jutsu…" Her voice sounded rather horse. Using her left hand she gingerly massaged the front of her throat coughing a couple of times.

"Well after all that training we have some missions around the village to complete. I must have accidentally forgotten to tell you."

"Oi oi, Kakashi-sensei all our past missions have been lame! Can't we have one that allows me to flourish, so I can follow the path of the shinobi?!" Naruto burst out rushing in front Kakashi. 'I'm not going to let Sasuke make me look bad! This time I won't let him steal the spotlight. Today I'm going to say something totally cool to him because he won't be able to keep up!'

"Un un…" Kakashi sighed, the girl had attached herself to his back at least an hour ago and she still hadn't let go of him.

"Naruto what are you doing hurry up already!" Sakura yelled already down the street from the boy who was day dreaming. "You're so annoying."
