Disclaimer: The characters aren't mine. But I do love them so!

Just a quick little idea that popped into my head today…Any guesses what I was doing when it showed up? Hee hee!

MTAC:

"We're what?!" Tony exclaimed.

In spite of herself, Kate laughed.

"You're going undercover," Gibbs explained with uncharacteristic patience. "As substitute teachers."

"You're just kidding around, right Boss?" Tony asked.

"Kate, you'll be covering for Mrs. Jefferson, teaching English, and Tony, you'll be covering for Capt. Jefferson teaching math," he continued, completely ignoring Tony.

Kate smiled, but Tony's mouth dropped open. "Math?! Are you serious? Why can't I teach PE? Or Lunch? I hated Math!"

"Because Naval Reserve Capt. Jefferson is the school's Math teacher, DiNozzo," Gibbs responded, still patiently. When Tony didn't respond, Gibbs continued. "You'll be working at Phillipston Academy. It's a small private school," he explained as he motioned to the tech in MTAC. A floor plan popped up on the screen.

"Private school," Tony grinned. "Girls in uniforms." He purred.

"Eww! Tony, they're teenagers!" Kate yelled.

"Kate, your classroom is here, and Tony, yours is here. Jonathan Miller's is here, in the middle of the floor." Gibbs continued the briefing, ignoring his agents with the exception of a slightly disgusted look in Tony's direction. "Here are your schedules. When you have a free period, you are to do two things: Number one, you will check in with me. Number two, you will review the recordings from the bugs in Miller's classroom and coordinate with Team Bravo on their surveillance of Mrs. Miller. Miller is our only suspect right now – the only one with motive for murder, and the only one with close enough access to blow up the Jefferson's car yesterday, so don't screw this up. When school is over for the day, you will report back here to review the tapes from his home and cell phone. Any questions so far?"

"Nope," Kate said cheerily.

"Do I really have to do Math?"

"Tony, we're subbing. It's not like you'll actually have to teach anything. You're such a baby," Kate said.

"Am not," Tony argued back.

"Are too."

"Hey!" Gibbs yelled. "Do the two of you need to take a trip to the principal's office before we start this or may I continue?"

"No, we're good Boss."

"Sorry Gibbs."

He gave them one last hard look then turned back to the screen. "The bugs are being placed in Miller's home today while he's away, and the tracking device was placed on his car overnight. When you get to the school, you'll need to check in with the headmaster, Dr. Rowley. We're using the conference room as our command post. Dr. Rowley has been told only what he needs to know so that you are not compromised. Any discussions about the case between you will happen in the conference room or not at all. School starts in an hour and a half. Go get fitted with microphones and earwigs and get going. Got it?"

"So where are the Jefferson's?" Kate asked.

"They're at the safe-house, but officially, Mrs. Jefferson's mother died in Milwaukee so they're at the funeral. Anything else? No? Ok, let's go."

At Phillipston Academy:

"Where are the skirts?" Tony asked, obviously dismayed. "They're all wearing pants!"

"Yes Tony, they are," Kate said, a little snottily. "A lot of schools are changing their uniforms so that girls aren't allowed to wear skirts. And do you know why? Because of guys like you who only ever think about one thing!"

Tony pouted. "This day just keeps getting worse."
