A/N: I know that I've been gone for a while and I'm not going to start giving excuses to you guys but life happened so yeah. Anyway, standard disclaimers apply.

Chapter 14: Crisis Point

While the telepathic conversation between Kaoru and Yuuna was on-going, the hosts and the other Night Class members were chatting, mostly Hikaru and the Night Class which made the remaining hosts curious as to when they started getting along.

"Kanata-san, I was wondering about something." Kyouya spoke up making the Kuran heir look at him directly.

"What is it Ootori-san?" He asked.

"I just noticed that our dear twins here have been acting a bit weird after your last visit. Would you happen to have done something to cause this type of behavior from them?" The bespectacled teen asked nonchalantly making the twins stiffen in their seats.

"Why would you think that Ootori-san? Have we done something to warrant such accusations from you?" The eldest Kuran asked in the same manner.

All other conversations stopped after that and all were quiet.

"Kyouya-senpai, I know you're curious about them but is this the way to go about doing things? You were more subtle than this from what I remember." Kaoru said speaking up after he recovered his composure.

"Why Kaoru, I didn't know that you were observing me that closely. I must ask since when and I do wonder when you got the courage to start speaking like that to me." His senpai said in a calm tone that belied the irritation behind his scathing words.

If it was possible, the atmosphere in the room became tenser.

The hosts don't know what to do to diffuse the situation so Yuuna stood up from her seat, stood beside Kaoru and placed her hand on his arm.

"We haven't done anything to change the twins' behavior. If you think it weird that they are acting chummy with us because they are getting to know us better than you then that isn't a problem, ne? Isn't that a good thing since you guys claim to want to know us? If not then why do you go through with all of this?" She said looking straight at Kyouya.

When he wasn't about to answer, she continued, "At least, they're honestly trying to get to know us without putting up a façade."

Silence still reigned so Yuuna once again spoke up.

"I'm sorry to cut this visit short Kaoru-san, Hikaru-san. I know that you were expecting us to stay longer and get to know us more but this kind of behavior is just unacceptable. If you would like you can come visit us at home or at school. You can even transfer to Cross Academy if you think that you should. This type of treatment from your senpai is most unpleasant."

After her words, Kyouya lost his cool and stood from his seat and started walking towards her.

The Night Class readily stood up as well to protect their princess when Kaoru blocked his way.

"Kyouya-senpai that is as far as you go." His kohai said with his eyes turning a darker shade than normal.

The black haired teen stopped but then took a step forward.

"One more step senpai and I would have to take action." Kaoru warned, his eyes turning almost red now by this time.

Kyouya was confused with how his kohai's eyes changed colors that he just stood there looking at him.

'So I wasn't imagining it. His eyes really did changed color.' He thought before adjusting his glasses and speaking up.

"I apologize if you think that way Yuuna-san. I was merely stating a fact and not trying to start a fight with my kohais. Besides they are an important part of the Host Club. We wouldn't want them leaving now, would we?"

Yuuna just narrowed her eyes before telepathically telling her brothers to make all the hosts fall asleep with the exception of the twins.

"What was that about Yuuna-san?" Kaoru asked once all the other hosts were safely unconscious.

"Ootori-san was being manipulated." She simply stated.

"What do you mean by that?" Hikaru then questioned.

The other pair of twins just looked at each other before Yuuna spoke up again.

"I guess I would need to tell you about Daisuke then."
