Author's Note: To those who know me will be shocked that this is so short but I have been playing with writing short little stories and this one just kind happened.

Rodney McKay paced his small quarters. Something was bothering him; he had an itch that he couldn't scratch.

Distracting himself with other thoughts and ideas hadn't worked; his mind just circled around back to that niggling point. He'd tried wormhole physics, what other planets might contain a ZPM, and the possibility of Ascension. Even thinking about Samantha Carter, didn't divert his attention for long.

Stopping mid-step, he looked at his computer. It would be so easy to find the answer, but should he? Was it an invasion of privacy to look? There had to be another way.

He started pacing once more and then stopped. Waggling his finger at the empty air he wondered if someone else would know the answer. Maybe Elizabeth or Teyla might know? Yes, that was it; he'd ask one of them.

Rodney was half out the door when he stopped and retreated. No, he couldn't ask them - they would both know exactly why he was asking, and he couldn't show any weakness. No, no he couldn't, he wouldn't.

Tapping his chin, he sat down at his desk, wiggling the mouse to wake up his computer only to lose his battle with his conscience and get up again. Was knowing that important?

No, he didn't, Rodney told himself as he picked up "Quantum Theory of Wormhole Physics" by Samantha Carter. Laying back against the head board, he began to read the book for the one hundred and sixth time. Managing only three pages, he found himself sitting in front of the computer with the right file open. Resigned to the fact that he needed to know; he began to read.

To his horror it was there in black and white; John Shepard had out scored him on the Mensa exam.

This is a tag to episode 116 the Brotherhood. Let me know what you thought of my first SGA story short though it might be.
